Director of Advancement, Nonprofit performing arts

Opportunity
Reporting to IRAP’s Executive Vice President, External Relationsand Chief of Staff, the Vice President (VP), Development will be anintegral member of the IRAP team, and involved in theorganization’s overall strategic development. They will oversee andmanage the organization’s fundraising strategy, development, andexecution, and will build key infrastructure and contacts tostrengthen and sustain its activities. In partnership with theExecutive Vice President, External Relations and Chief of Staff,the Development team, and other key stakeholders, the VP will be astrategic leader and frontline fundraiser, forging newrelationships to increase IRAP’s visibility, achieve ambitiousimpact, and secure long-term financial resources. They will lead,in partnership, the design and implementation of a comprehensive,clearly-articulated multi-year plan to maintain organizationalhealth in the years to come. The VP will hold a portfolio ofprincipal and major individual and institutional donors, and willbe responsible for personal fundraising performance alongside therest of the development team.&nbsp;
The VP, Development will have primary responsibility forestablishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow a$30M annual budget through the solicitation of grassroots tomajor/principal gifts, special events and virtual opportunities,and corporate and foundation support. They will expand anddiversify IRAP’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with otherteam members to secure funding for new initiatives. In addition,the VP will work closely with the Board of Directors on theirrespective individual fundraising / relationship-building plans,and encourage everyone, through many different avenues, to becomemore involved in helping the organization reach their fundraisinggoals.
The VP, Development will directly supervise the highly strategicDevelopment Leadership Team, comprising the Director of IndividualPhilanthropy, Director of Institutional Philanthropy, and theDevelopment Operations team lead, in addition to overseeing andleading the nine Development team professionals. They will also bea member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for helping todevelop a strategic execution plan to achieve organizationalresults.
Responsibilities

<li>Provide strategic vision and direction to build a first-ratedevelopment program, in partnership with the Executive LeadershipTeam, Development team, and Board of Directors, includingindividual, corporate, and foundation fundraising, and support andensure stellar development operations.</li>
<li>Through a combination of donor, prospect, Board, and staffengagement; intentional pipeline building and authenticstewardship; and creative and innovative fundraising strategies,lead the organization-wide goal of deepening existing andprospective funder relationships, and expanding and diversifyingthe base of supporters and ambassadors.</li>
<li>Maintain a dynamic portfolio of high-net-worth individuals andmajor institutional funders.</li>
<li>Support the Board of Directors, including staffing theDevelopment Committee, as it undertakes greater fundraising andpipeline-building efforts.</li>
<li>Ensure dynamic processes in all phases of prospect management,donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, anddevelopment reporting.</li>
<li>Create and implement a plan for the diversification of fundingtypes, such as expanding our non-U.S. supporter base, competing formore multilateral funding opportunities, and/or acceleratinggrassroots giving.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensure the mobilization of virtual and in-person fundraisingactivities, including by leading the biannual Audacious Communitycalls and other development cultivation and stewardshipopportunities.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Communicate regularly with the Executive Vice President,appropriate Executive Leadership Team members, and the SeniorDirector, Global Planning and Strategic Resourcing to understandpotential programmatic funding needs, then work with others on theDevelopment team to identify and pursue funding opportunities tomeet those needs.</li>
<li>With the support of the Development Operations team, provideregular analysis and reporting on the overall performance offundraising against goals and Annual Plan.</li>
<li>Actively manage the Development departmental budget, bringingrisks and opportunities to the attention of the EVP, ExternalRelations and Chief of Staff.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the Senior Director of Communications,devise and implement compelling and consistent external messaging,and build consistent and recognizable identity to further IRAP’sbrand and enhance visibility.</li>

Reporting to theSenior Director, Major Gifts, the Individual Giving officer managesaspects of the individual donor programs (events, communicationscontent, solicitation) to raise funds and donor commitments insupport of Win programs. Key Accountabilities
Donor Relations and Cultivation • Manage portfolio of donors supporting from $1,000-$4,999,including annual giving, from communications and engagement tosolicitation and stewardship. • Coordinate donor experiences involving Development and Programteams, including strategy development and preparation of briefingdocuments, formal proposals, and logistical support. • Oversee the acknowledgement and recognition processes formid-level donors, ensuring immediate, tailored, and accuratecorrespondence to donors, and on-going appreciation asappropriate.
Research and Metrics • Regularly provide reporting on mid-level financial progress as itrelates to overall goal. • Work closely with the Director of Development Operations todevelop systems and methodology to identify/qualify new Windonors. • Analyze donor data and fundraising metrics to assess performance,identify trends and share key learnings to inform strategicdecision-making.
 Data-Driven Approach • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date donor recordsin Salesforce, Win’s CRM database, with a focus on data hygiene.Work with the Development staff to ensure fulfillment andimplementation. • Track and report activities and progress towards goals throughthe fiscal year. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance at Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has oversight of the financial, risk management and information technology operations of the organization. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is delegated a high degree of responsibility to recommend and implement fiscal policies and procedures in partnership with university colleagues to ensure that ASI operates appropriately within the financial policies of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees and the University, while sustaining sound business practices, and strengthening the financial health of ASI.
The Director of Finance will sit as a non-voting member and serve as an advisor to the ASI Student Board of Directors, which doubles as the Sacramento State Student Government. &nbsp;&nbsp;
The ASI Director of Finance serves as ASI administrator in charge in the absence of the Executive Director.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Accounting 
<ul>
<li>Oversees the supervision and management of all aspects of the functional areas of the Accounting Services department, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashiering, fixed asset management, internal controls, policy development and implementation, legal, and audit compliance as well as maintenance of the general ledger.</li>
<li>Provides insight and education regarding ASI and CSU Sacramento budget and financial operations to the ASI Student Board of Directors, full-time staff, student-staff, campus partners and the student community at a level of their understanding.</li>
<li>Oversees the preparation of the annual financial statements and 990 for ASI and the Union WELL.</li>
<li>Facilitates implementation of quality standards and priority criteria for service processes.</li>
<li>Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through assessment, staff training, and resource development. Ensures compliance with state and federal tax laws and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Ensures compliance with all internal controls and identifies potential improvements to increase efficiency of operations and security of company assets.</li>
<li>Evaluates changes in policies, laws, and available resources for impacts and adjustments to related policies, procedures, and staff responsibilities.</li>

Long Term Financial Planning, and Forecasting
<ul>
<li>Develops financial forecasts to determine necessary funding levels for ASI regarding distribution/allocation of fiscal resources.</li>
<li>Monitors the use of student fee revenue and recommends timing and levels of necessary fee increases.</li>
<li>Develops long-term capital funding plans and budgets including maintaining appropriate reserve increases.</li>
<li>Manages investment and banking operations.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Advises Executive Director on all financial matters.</li>

Fiscal Services
<ul>
<li>Serves as an advisor to the ASI Student Board of Directors. Provides guidance and support to all elected ASI student officers, especially the ASI Student Vice President of Finance, in the fulfillment of their responsibilities, and to student club and organization officers on the use of ASI funds.</li>
<li>Organizes, directs and supervises the preparation of ASl's annual budget in accordance with the guidelines provided by the ASI Finance and Budget Committee.</li>
<li>Implements the approved budget, and works with ASI department directors to ensure that operations remain within the scope of the approved budget.</li>
<li>Coordinates with the ASI Student Vice President of Finance in the annual budget review process.</li>
<li>Develops and presents ASI budget to the ASI Student Board of Directors and reports on budget status throughout the year to the Student Board of Directors.</li>

<li>Oversees internal audit plan; acts as liaison to external audit firm.</li>

Minimum Qualifications

The College of Science is seeking a Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. Works with the Associate Dean and Director to bring research teams together for large funding proposal and supports the proposal submission in coordination with the proposal support staff. &nbsp; Leads, designs and collaborates with the Associate Dean and Director in creating professional development opportunities for faculty, graduate students, postdocs and other researchers in the College for example, grant writing workshops, open forums, and seminars with program managers across pertinent funding agencies. &nbsp; Coordinates the annual spring OSU-OMSI Science Communication Fellowship Outreach Program and other activities with other college staff. &nbsp; Collaborates with the Associate Dean and graduate advisors in leading the selection committee and processes for graduate student scholarships, fellowships and research awards, faculty &amp; staff awards, and related activities. &nbsp; Updates, designs, and implements online templates using the OSU online portal, InfoReady for the college funding and award opportunities, such as the internal funding program, the Graduate student Fellowship/ scholarship application submission process, the faculty/researcher awards nominations, and other applicable opportunities. &nbsp; Supports the administration of small to medium sized research projects across the college and may collaborate and/or participate in the administration of large research projects in the College. &nbsp; 25% Proposal Support Exercises independent judgement and knowledge of best practices in research development and administration. &nbsp; Coordinates with the proposal support staff in assisting researchers with grant applications. Serves as backup to the proposal support staff and provides mentorship and guidance as needed. This includes assisting faculty with proposal preparation and submission from inception to submission. During busy times, the coordinator will work with the proposal support staff to assist faculty with proposal submissions, including but not limited to budget review/development, budget justification review/development, review of logistical pieces of proposal submission. &nbsp; Assists proposal leads with editing/writing proposals for clarity or offer guidance on strengthening the project description. &nbsp; Revises proposal budgets if requested upon award as needed as a backup to the proposal support staff. &nbsp; Collaborates with the Associate Dean and Director on updating procedures for managing cost share requests. &nbsp; Serves as a backup for the proposal internal review and approval process for proposals submitted to the OSRAA through Cayuse. &nbsp; Collaborates with other units on campus to maintain current information on proposal and award process and policies at the institutional, college and agency level. &nbsp; 10% Professional Development &amp; Other Activities Participates in training and professional development opportunities pertinent to the position, in consultation with and approval by the Associate Dean. &nbsp; Participates in equity, access, and inclusion learning opportunities. &nbsp; Other duties as needed.

General Summary:&nbsp;&nbsp;Under the direction of the University President, the Vice President for Administration &amp; Finance serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF administers the University budget as well as supervises the Business Office, Human Resources, Office of Financial Aid, Facilities, Security and Safety, and the Office of Information Technology. The VPAF is also responsible for the outsourced Bookstore, general contract administration, regulation administration, The University’s annual budget, fiscal policies, and other services as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF works closely with various State of North Dakota governing and regulating agencies.
Primary Responsibilities:&nbsp;
Business Office&nbsp;- Responsible for the accurate accounting and budgeting of appropriated and non-appropriated funds to include payroll and student accounts. Human Resources&nbsp;- Responsible for talent acquisition, salary administration, employee training, and appropriate application of&nbsp;&nbsp;HR policies, procedures, and practices. May coordinate on the process of position creation and management. Student Financial Aid&nbsp;- Responsible for accurate accounting and disbursement of student financial aid; federal funds, scholarships, grants, waivers, and awards used by students for tuition, books, and fees. Facilities Management&nbsp;- Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of all buildings and grounds of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;Provides oversight for new construction and renovation of buildings. Campus Safety and Security&nbsp;- Provides security services 24/7, Clery Act reporting, and safety measures. &nbsp;Information Technology Center&nbsp;- Provides for the physical infrastructure, security and support of all campus network and communication lines, computers and related I.T. equipment on campus. Bookstore&nbsp;- Responsible for the oversight of bookstore operations (currently contracted with Barnes &amp; Noble) Coordination with North Dakota University System office&nbsp;- Responds to requests for information from the NDUS and SBHE, assists with presentations as necessary and serves as a member of the NDUS Administrative Affairs Council. Budget Administration&nbsp;- Coordinates the budget requests and development processes. Serves on the Strategic Planning and Budget Council.&nbsp;&nbsp;Serves on the Faculty Senate Salary and Budget Committee. Contract Administration&nbsp;- Executes most contracts and works with assigned attorney to ensure compliance with state laws. &nbsp;
Secondary Responsibilities:
Dining Services&nbsp;- Coordinates with the VPSA to manage the food services contract (currently contracted with Sodexo).&nbsp;&nbsp;Sets board rates in conjunction with food services personnel. Residence Life&nbsp;- Coordinates with the VPSA to maintain residence halls for safety, security, and student satisfaction.&nbsp;&nbsp;Accounts for charges and receipts regarding student residence fees.&nbsp;&nbsp;Sets room rates in connection with residence life personnel. Dakota College at Bottineau&nbsp;- Coordinates with DCB personnel to provide advice and assistance as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
