Purpose: The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Santa Clara University is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor beginning fall 2024. Responsibilities Tenure track faculty at SCU are teaching scholars who are expected to balance teaching, research and service. This is an in-person position. More specifically, duties include but are not limited to:
TEACHING 1. Teach lower- and upper-division courses in the major and university core curriculum, as assigned by the chair and subdisciplinary expertise. &nbsp;SCU is on the quarter system and a typical load is two courses per quarter. Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: a. Conducting and appearing at all assigned class meetings in a timely and prepared manner that demonstrates a command of the discipline and skill in presenting it effectively. b. Assigning and evaluating written work, projects, and exams that align with course or core learning objectives and providing timely feedback to students. c. Help develop software test description prior to test, conduct testing, and develop software test reports after software tests are complete.
Support Technical and Operational Testing in the laboratory or field as required.
Lead Agile development teams and mentor new engineers.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related and 4 years of experience.
Active or ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Development languages include but are not limited to Java, JavaScript, Python, and Docker.
Knowledge of software development in an Agile environment.
Understanding of Risk Management Framework principles.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be ready to adapt to quickly changing requirements during the development process.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated and team oriented.
Pay Range and Benefits: There are a variety of factors that can influence salary at DCS Corp, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
The proposed salary range for this position is:
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Job Description 
As a Data Scientist joining Logic20/20’s Advanced Analytics practice, you’ll transform data into powerful insights capable of driving enlightened decision-making. You’ll work closely with the client to understand their business needs, then frame those needs as statistical problems and solve them with leading-edge methodologies. Along the way, you’ll be a part of a diverse team of machine learning engineers, data engineers, analysts, and technical project managers, each contributing their own unique skillsets in creating world-class solutions.&nbsp;
What you’ll do:

<li>Learn and deploy new programming languages, algorithms, and applications&nbsp;</li>
<li>Quantify the value of existing data and provide roadmaps for future development</li>
<li>Model knowledge of machine learning techniques and develop solutions in Python, SQL, and/or R&nbsp;</li>
<li>Grasp opportunities to broaden your scope into the realms of data engineering and data visualization&nbsp;</li>

Qualifications 
Must have:

<li>Knowledge of statistics and machine learning techniques&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience building data pipelines&nbsp;</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
</ul>
Preferred:

<li>Master’s degree or PhD in machine learning, statistics, computer science, data mining, math, or any quantitative discipline&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience working in the utilities industry</li>
