Job Description
This position is situated within the Biopharma department, focusing on clinical laboratory testing and validation work for in vitro diagnostics clients. It offers a dynamic environment where you will perform a variety of laboratory tasks and contribute to innovative test development.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Conduct clinical laboratory testing, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases, as well as assay/instrument calibration, quality control, and instrument maintenance.</li>
<li>Perform analytical validation work in accordance with client protocols.</li>
<li>Participate in test validation work for two tests in development: cell isolation for a cell viability assay and assay/instrument calibration, quality control, instrument maintenance, and running validation samples for a more advanced test.</li>
<li>Maintain general laboratory equipment.</li>
<li>Engage in other duties such as making quality control pools, performing quality activities as per procedures, and managing inventory.</li>

<li>Perform routine clinical and occasional R&amp;D testing using validated methods and procedures

<li>Process human specimens such as urine, saliva, blood, and other body fluids under BSL-2 conditions</li>
<li>Perform nucleic acid extraction, purification, PCR amplification, and microarray hybridization of clinical specimens</li>
<li>Perform serological tests using immunoassays on clinical specimens</li>
<li>Carefully follow clinical procedures and instructions without deviation</li>
</ul>

<li>Prepare reagents and solutions following standard laboratory formulas and procedures
<ul>
<li>Perform simple and formulized calculations for each reagent preparation</li>
<li>Adhere to all documentation, labeling, and quality control requirements </li>
<li>Complete quality control testing of all materials before use in the clinical laboratory </li>
</ul>

Qualifications

<li>Laboratory Experience
<ul>

<li>Pipetting </li>

Education
<ul>
<li>At minimum an associate degree in a chemical science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or equivalent laboratory training and experience.</li>
