Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Perform analysis using one or more of the following techniques: GC, LCMS, GCMS, GC, HPLC, ICP/MS, ICP-OES, UV-VIS, FTIR, Titration, Gravimetric Analysis, or other techniques, as appropriate in a timely fashion maintaining a high level of quality.</li>
<li>Prepare analytical standards.</li>
<li>Perform daily balance, temperature and monthly pipette verification.</li>
<li>Perform sample processing in accordance with standard operating procedures. </li>
<li>Perform sample preparation.</li>
<li>Successfully participate in proficiency testing.</li>
<li>Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments.</li>
<li>Participate in relevant ISO QA/QC activities and documentation thereof</li>
<li>Prepare standards and maintain inventory.</li>
<li>Effectively participate in proficiency testing as required by ISO17025 and other accrediting/certifying bodies.</li>
<li>Maintain analytical and quality records as required for accreditation/certification and related to analytical work and instrument maintenance.</li>
<li>Submit accurate and timely reports based on the analysis.</li>
<li>Identify results that require further investigation or discussion with the Department Manager/Supervisor.</li>
<li>Participate in OOS investigation and/or CAPA when necessary.</li>
<li>Plan and perform work to meet deadlines and expected turn-around times.</li>
<li>Perform routine diagnosis, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.</li>
<li>Learn new techniques and technologies as appropriate.</li>
<li>Works effectively with other departments.</li>
<li>Provide training to new chemists when needed. </li>
<li>Other duties as required.</li>
</ul>
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>BA/BS degree in Chemistry related field, or 1 year of relevant work experience</li>
<li>Knowledge of GMP GLP GDP </li>
<li>Strong relevant quantitative skills</li>
<li>High level of computer skills and familiarity with data acquisition software</li>
<li>Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>High level of computer literacy</li>
<li>Good conceptual basis in analytical chemistry</li>
<li>Proven ability to perform standard chemical laboratory techniques </li>
