The Director of Nursing Clinical Support has a broad range of duties associated with the growth and development of clinical education courses in the School of Nursing, this position provides oversight, in collaboration with Continuing Education, for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses, which includes plans to transition students to credit. This position also coordinates with nursing faculty and leadership to offer certifications for students enrolled in the School of Nursing.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities

<li>Provides leadership and oversight for the Certified Nursing Assistant program; including working with clinical partners to pursue scholarships and partnership opportunities</li>
<li>Collaborates with the Program Director for Continuing Education in the hiring, onboarding, training, evaluation and scheduling of instructors for CNA</li>
<li>Oversees the curriculum for CNA and special projects as needed to meet accreditation/certification standards and ensure student success</li>
<li>Arranges Prometric Testing in collaboration with the testing center at MDC Medical Campus</li>
<li>Ensures the distribution of pertinent information to students enrolled in the CNA program to transition to degree-seeking programs</li>
<li>Collaborates with funding partners, recruitment, and Program Director of CE to increase enrollment of individuals in the community into the CNA program</li>
<li>Tracks enrollment data, graduation, and certification pass rates of students seeking credentials while identifying barriers to success</li>
<li>Works with the Program Director for Continuing Education to provide CNA program support</li>
<li>Coordinates with the Department Chairs and Director of Clinical Resources to appropriately staff each clinical course utilizing adjunct faculty when appropriate and visits clinical sites to ensure adjunct faculty are working with students to meet course and agency expectation</li>

Minimum Requirements
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in nursing education; or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and seven (7) years of experience in nursing education</li>
<li>Florida license or eligibility for a license as a registered nurse</li>
<li>Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility</li>
<li>Computer fluency and database management skills in field related to Nursing Education</li>
<li>Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)</li>
<li>Possess effective interpersonal skills</li>

As a Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes</li>
<li>Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake</li>
<li>Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises</li>
<li>Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes</li>
<li>Work with a team of home health nurses and aides to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed</li>
<li>Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment</li>
</ul>
A few must-haves for Home Health Certified Nursing Assistants:
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>
<li>Current Colorado CNA license in good standing.</li>
<li>CPR Certification (demonstration course required)</li>
<li>At least six (6) months of recent health care experience.</li>
<li>Must be willing to travel to surrounding area</li>
<li>No Covid Vaccination Requirements</li>
