Key Responsibilities:

<li>Assist in the day-to-day operations of a high-volume, multi-specialty practice and laboratory, while providing safe and compassionate care to adult patients.</li>

CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT needed for our busy CARDIOLOGY practice. Hours are 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM MON.-THURS. &amp; 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM FRIDAYS. No nights or weekends! GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Employee is responsible for providing professional nursing care to clinic patients under supervision of physicians and Patient/Clinical Services Manager. May be required to travel between offices as needed.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Office Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li>Assesses patient's general condition and takes vital signs and weight.</li>
<li>Assists physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.</li>
<li>Provides basic patient care as ordered.</li>
<li>Documents all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.</li>
<li>Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.</li>
<li>Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies.</li>
<li>Review all patient cases and acknowledge request accordingly. Action note should be updated in case before closing.</li>
<li>Review all cases created for providers at office location.</li>
<li>Patient request for call backs should be handled promptly and in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintain inventory at a minimum and place medical supply orders as needed.</li>
<li>Keep patient’s rooms fully stocked and cleaning log up to date.</li>
<li>The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to job position.</li>

Key Responsibilities:
