The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides services to all in-house patients or outpatients, patients directly from the Emergency Room, or patients transferred from other health care facilities, excluding pediatric patients. Basic physical, emotional and educational assessment of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization. Analgesia and moderate sedation needs are assessed prior, during and post procedure by the nurse. Assistance to physicians performing diagnostic and interventional procedures; pharmacologic and hemodynamic support of patients before, during and after all invasive procedures. Post-procedural assessment, stabilization and transfer to appropriate medical/surgical service.

Position Overview \nJoin a dynamic interventional radiology team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center as an IR Tech. This role involves supporting high-acuity cases within a fast-paced environment, primarily in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, with occasional shifts in hybrid procedures. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to life-saving interventions and expand your expertise in a leading healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities
\n

<li>Assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures including RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, Cardiomems, biopsies, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, Impella, and ECMO (preferred)\n</li>
<li>Support peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases, including fistulograms\n</li>
<li>Participate in hybrid procedures such as TAVRs, Watchman devices, AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, and clip placements (experience preferred but not required)\n</li>
<li>Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment like GE C-arms, Volcano, St. Jude devices, Alphavac, Angiovac, EKOS, Anari, GE Pruka (Maclab), Fuji and ProSolv PACS, Maquet IABP\n</li>
<li>Provide scrub and panning support during procedures\n</li>
<li>Monitor patient vitals and manage hemodynamics under supervision\n</li>

Qualifications and Requirements \nCertifications &amp; Licenses:

<li>RN: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS (preferred)\n</li>
<li>RTR: BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin License; RCIS (preferred)\n</li>

Skills &amp; Experience:

<li>Minimum 3 years of experience in interventional radiology or cardiac catheterization labs\n</li>
<li>Proficiency with diagnostic and interventional procedures listed above\n</li>
<li>Ability to manage conscious sedation and titrate IV drips (RN)\n</li>
<li>Skilled in scrubbing, panning, and case support (RTR)\n</li>
<li>Hybrid case experience is a plus\n</li>

<li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing or Radiologic Technology preferred\n</li>
<li>Prior experience with ECMO and TAVR procedures highly desirable\n</li>

<li>Occasional weekend shifts and on-call duties with 30-minute response time\n</li>
<li>On-call from Friday to Friday every 2-3 months, with flexible days off\n</li>
<li>Orientation: One week of onboarding\n</li>
<li>Staffing support includes housekeeping, storeroom management, transport, reception/HUC, charge nurse/lead tech, RTs, hospitalists, and cardiology team members available 24/7\n</li>
<li>Equipment: EPIC charting system, Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication stations, GE imaging equipment, and other advanced devices\n</li>
