Technical Sales Support Service Technicians are responsible for maintaining the existing customer base in Great Falls and Western Montana, and for performing water treatment tests at the existing customers. With the freedom of working from your home, you can work and train in a territory alongside veteran Territory Managers. Best place to live is in or near Great Falls, Montana.
The career track for a Technical Sales Support/Service Technician is to train to become a Territory Manager. Territory Managers are eligible for unlimited commission and a year-end bonus.
As a Technical Sales Support/Service Technician, you will receive an industry competitive salary, expenses, benefits, and a $675 per month car allowance. In addition, ample technical support is provided along with continuous training. Paperwork is kept to a minimum. EAS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Fisheries Technician to assist on a contract providing Biological Services to the US Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District.
We are currently looking to fill a part-time Fisheries Technician role at Little Goose Dam in Lacrosse, Washington with hours ranging from 28-40 hours per week. Work will be approximately 7-8 months in duration and will start early-March 2025. The pay for this position ranges from $22.34 - $29.67 per hour and will be based on factors such as experience, education, and location of the job site, plus an additional $4.90 per hour towards health and welfare dollars.
Essential Functions (reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions):

<li>Assist with sampling fish at USACE hydroelectric projects, including juvenile salmonid and non-salmonid species identification, look for fin clips, weigh, measure, identify injuries and diseases on the fish.</li>
<li>Monitor fish health and recirculation system while sampling fish.</li>
<li>Accurately record information in spreadsheets and collate and summarize information to write weekly and annual reports on fish information.</li>
<li>Conduct juvenile and adult fishway inspections of the dam and fish facility to ensure operations follow criteria as set forth in the USACE Fish Passage Plan.</li>
<li>Piscivorous avian predator identification.</li>

Desired Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Experience as a fisheries technician or biologist, evaluating the health of juvenile salmonids.</li>
<li>Experience with fish handling.</li>
<li>Experience with anesthetizing fish.</li>
<li>Work experience at a large hydroelectric project smolt collection facility.</li>
<li>Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access) in Windows, including generating tables from Excel, preparing data deliverables and writing scientific reports in Word, and utilizing Access.</li>
<li>Experience with avian identification.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently.</li>
<li>Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with a wide range of personalities.</li>
<li>Strong organization skills and detail oriented.</li>
<li>Ability to accurately interpret and follow established protocols, guidelines, and procedures.</li>
<li>Ability to produce accurate, timely and quality work products and be accountable for meeting objectives.</li>
<li>Ability to meet USACE requirements and security clearances to work at dam sites on the Snake and Columbia rivers. This includes about 8 hours of online training that must be completed before the first on-site shift at a dam.</li>

<li>Deploy and maintain various mosquito traps, C02 tanks (attractant) and gravid water bait Assist in collecting, sorting and speciating trapped mosquitoes and prepare mosquito pools for arboviral testing (on the job training provided)</li>
<li>Assist in collecting blood samples from sentinel chickens and maintain those flocks Record and maintain pertinent data</li>
<li>Perform various other tasks assigned by the Biologist Il &amp; Biologist I</li>
</ul>
Minimum Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>Requires High School Diploma or GED</li>
</ul>
Preferred Experience
<ul>
<li>College level coursework in Biology, Entomology, Public Health or related fields Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques</li>
</ul>
Special Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must possess a valid driver's license and a Division of Motor Vehicles report acceptable to the Commission's insurance carrier and in compliance with the Commission's driving standards. Must pass appropriate medical examinations</li>
<li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and traverse uneven terrain</li>
<li>Must be able to work outside, often in unfavorable weather conditions</li>
</ul>
Hourly Rate/Schedule:
$16.00/hour, Monday — Friday work week, start time 6:30 a.m. with variable schedule
Duration:
Approximately April 14th to October 24th
