Position Overview

Oxfam America is seeking an energetic organizer to join the Brand and Engagement team in a new hybrid role that combines volunteer engagement, organizing and brand building. The Engagement &amp; Organizing Advisor will support efforts to build, sustain, and activate members of the Oxfam Action Network for an Equal Future and other supporters across the U.S. through in-person activations, volunteer leadership development, and advocacy to external stakeholders on issues that drive inequality. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Role:
The Policy Manager works with the California State Director in developing and shaping strategy, goals, and communications efforts for the California office. Responsibilities include developing and managing campaigns focused on (but not exclusive to) policy reform related to criminalization of drugs, substance use disorder treatment, overdose prevention, harm reduction, and other health- and addiction-related services, including strategy, partnerships, written materials and action plans; educating and lobbying elected officials, advocacy organizations, and community leaders; leading advocacy and communications work on their legislative campaigns; speaking publicly and representing DPA in the media; and more. FUNCTIONAL ROLEAs a Plumbing Sales/Service Technician you are responsible for general labor and Plumbing service, maintenance, and repair.ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES

Create a positive customer experience by completing calls correctly the first time with quality and care to applicable codes and to company standards to avoid refunds and recalls ensuring customer satisfaction.
</li>
<li>
 Adjust, repair, replace sewage and sump pumps.
</li>
<li>
Communicate the benefits of Memberships.
</li>
<li>
Complete all required documentation on services, collect, record, and deliver fees to designated office administration.
</li>
<li>
Consistently provide accurate True Transparency pricing.
</li>
<li>
Cut, thread, assemble and install pipes; connect valves; caulk joints; and test finished job by allowing water to flow through correctly.
</li>
<li>
Perform a thorough and accurate plumbing inspection including Health &amp; Safety Checklist and communicate findings to the customer in a written option sheet.
</li>
<li>
Perform all plumbing service and replacements to applicable codes.
</li>
<li>
Repair of drain, sewer, and water lines.
</li>
<li>
When issues are identified, prepare a detailed finding report with pictures to discuss with the customer, present repair options to include cost using the options sheet.
</li>
<li>
Ensure assigned company vehicle is kept clean
</li>
<li>
Perform any other duty that may be directed by management.
</li>
</ul>
 
QUALIFICATIONS

Mechanical aptitude
</li>
<li>
Good customer relations and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

A “self-starter” attitude and be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner

Great oral and written communication skills

Ability to stay on task with minimal to no supervision

Responsible for the daily preparation of the parts and tools for each day’s activities

Valid Driver License
</li>

Ability to Pass a drug screen and/or background check

Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, and/or kneel continually

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Experience preferred in maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse plumbing service issues.
</li>
<li>
A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
</li>
<li>
A valid driver's license, and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier.
</li>
