The George Washington University Law Library seeks a qualified librarian for its Head of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services position to begin as early as September 15, 2023. As a member of the library’s dynamic, collaborative Instructional Technology Services team, the librarian in this position has primary oversight for the Office of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services. This position leads the development and delivery of services supporting the integration of library resources into the curriculum, the curation and use of the library’s growing electronic resources collection, the use of scholarly communication technologies and services, and the undertaking of digital initiatives. As the subject specialist for legal pedagogy and technology competency, this position works to improve student success by embedding the library in online teaching and learning spaces, integrating librarians into the face-to-face curriculum, and supporting faculty adoption of technologies to achieve learning outcomes.
The Law Library supports the curricular and teaching requirements of the Law School, the research and publication needs of the law faculty, and the study and research needs of the law students; and provides to the scholarly community at large access to a research collection of material about the law and its history. Head of Legal Technology & Instructional Services

The Assistant Director for Teaching and Learning will work with MIT educators (faculty, teaching assistants, and other instructional staff) to support teaching and learning through the implementation of research-based practices and pedagogies via workshops, individual consultations, and classroom observations. The Department of History at Santa Clara University,a Jesuit, Catholic university,&nbsp;seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship (full-time) in the history of the American West with research and teaching interests in the history of technology in the 20th and 21st centuries, the history of California, and/or the history of Silicon Valley, to begin fall 2024. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss how their research and teaching intersect with and leverage our location in Santa Clara Valley on the site of the historic Spanish mission Santa Clara, built on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone and the Muwekma Ohlone peoples. SCU is on the quarter system and faculty are expected to teach 6 courses per year (2 each quarter), assuming they are engaged in an active scholarship program.

We seek a historian who can engage with the broader social, demographic, and environmental forces that transformed the “Valley of Heart’s Delight” into “Silicon Valley.” We are particularly interested in a scholar with expertise in digital humanities and public history. Historians who are able to take a long view of the development of northern California from its earliest and persistent Indigenous inhabitants to the technological transformation of the 20th and 21st centuries are especially welcome. We are also looking for historians who can connect the history of technology and the computer industry to various dynamics of the 20th and 21st centuries that it has affected. Such intersections could include the environmental and social impacts of technological development and modern capitalism; . data justice, surveillance, and control; labor and migration shifts, particularly immigration from Asia; and problems of race and gender equity in technology fields. The successful candidate will be able to help our students critically assess popular narratives about the technology industry and its role in our society and develop a complex understanding of its impact on the social and historical dynamics of the modern world.&nbsp;

The College of Arts &amp; Sciences is currently conducting its third cluster hire in the area of Inequality &amp; Social Justice. It is possible that the person hired for this position will be included in the Fall 2024 cohort if their research/teaching is a strong fit. Cluster hire participants will receive mentorship and regular group meetings providing peer support and an interdisciplinary intellectual community to support their scholarly and creative work.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the potential for excellent, innovative undergraduate teaching and mentoring, and a willingness to support student research. Research
1. Develop a research program at SCU that will result in the publication of peer-reviewed publications, monographs, and/or creative work per the department scholarship standards.

The successful candidate will serve as Director of the McQuinn Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and, based on qualifications, be eligible for a tenured professorship in the College’s Division of Applied Social Sciences (DASS). The position supports teaching and research relating to entrepreneurship, leadership, strategy, and related disciplines. This is a nine-month appointment. If hired at the Assistant Professor rank, the candidate will be appointed to the endowed Chair upon successful promotion with tenure at the Associate Professor rank. Unlike traditional entrepreneurship programs designed for a general business education, the McQuinn Chair’s position within CAFNR lends itself to a natural emphasis on entrepreneurship in life sciences, food and agriculture, rural development, and natural resource entrepreneurship. When created in 2004, the McQuinn Chair was designed to enhance research, classroom teaching, and one-on-one mentoring in entrepreneurial leadership, with a specific charge to enhance the life sciences economic engine in the State of Missouri and to help raise MU’s national reputation as promoter of innovation in this emerging field. This includes the pursuit of innovative and non-conventional visions, the parameters and requirements of risk-taking, and personal conduct and priorities. <li>Manage faculty performance portfolios as they occur to ensure compliance with academic and code of ethics standards as outlined in the faculty and employee handbooks</li>

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
The Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education must understand and support the Mission, Vision and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University, as a Catholic higher education university as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, and possess the following:
