The George Washington University Law Library seeks a qualified librarian for its Head of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services position to begin as early as September 15, 2023. As a member of the library’s dynamic, collaborative Instructional Technology Services team, the librarian in this position has primary oversight for the Office of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services. This position leads the development and delivery of services supporting the integration of library resources into the curriculum, the curation and use of the library’s growing electronic resources collection, the use of scholarly communication technologies and services, and the undertaking of digital initiatives. As the subject specialist for legal pedagogy and technology competency, this position works to improve student success by embedding the library in online teaching and learning spaces, integrating librarians into the face-to-face curriculum, and supporting faculty adoption of technologies to achieve learning outcomes.
The Law Library supports the curricular and teaching requirements of the Law School, the research and publication needs of the law faculty, and the study and research needs of the law students; and provides to the scholarly community at large access to a research collection of material about the law and its history. Oversees, coordinates, and/or performs activities of the Office of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services, which includes coordination of workflow, training and evaluation of staff, and oversight of personnel issues.
Instructional Services

<li>Serves as subject matter expert for law pedagogy, legal technology, and related topics; creates an overall strategic vision to improve the student experience through the integration of technology into the curriculum, integrates Law Library services and instructional programs into Law School initiatives with a focus on legal practice technologies</li>
<li>Oversees the integration of library resources and academic technologies including technology competencies into the curriculum and learning spaces;&nbsp;participates in identifying, implementing, and supporting technology-driven solutions and strategies to enhance the Law School’s teaching and learning experience; stays abreast of technology-focused learning trends and best practices in law schools including technology-related pedagogy as well as technologies used in law practice; develops library-focused reusable learning objects and modules for course site development; partners with Law School faculty and programs on the adoption of tools and techniques to improve teaching and learning; supports faculty with the adoption and integration of instructional technologies to achieve pedagogical outcomes</li>

The Assistant Director for Teaching and Learning will work with MIT educators (faculty, teaching assistants, and other instructional staff) to support teaching and learning through the implementation of research-based practices and pedagogies via workshops, individual consultations, and classroom observations. The Department of History at Santa Clara University,a Jesuit, Catholic university,&nbsp;seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship (full-time) in the history of the American West with research and teaching interests in the history of technology in the 20th and 21st centuries, the history of California, and/or the history of Silicon Valley, to begin fall 2024. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss how their research and teaching intersect with and leverage our location in Santa Clara Valley on the site of the historic Spanish mission Santa Clara, built on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone and the Muwekma Ohlone peoples. SCU is on the quarter system and faculty are expected to teach 6 courses per year (2 each quarter), assuming they are engaged in an active scholarship program.

We seek a historian who can engage with the broader social, demographic, and environmental forces that transformed the “Valley of Heart’s Delight” into “Silicon Valley.” We are particularly interested in a scholar with expertise in digital humanities and public history. Historians who are able to take a long view of the development of northern California from its earliest and persistent Indigenous inhabitants to the technological transformation of the 20th and 21st centuries are especially welcome. We are also looking for historians who can connect the history of technology and the computer industry to various dynamics of the 20th and 21st centuries that it has affected. Such intersections could include the environmental and social impacts of technological development and modern capitalism; . data justice, surveillance, and control; labor and migration shifts, particularly immigration from Asia; and problems of race and gender equity in technology fields. The successful candidate will be able to help our students critically assess popular narratives about the technology industry and its role in our society and develop a complex understanding of its impact on the social and historical dynamics of the modern world.&nbsp;

The College of Arts &amp; Sciences is currently conducting its third cluster hire in the area of Inequality &amp; Social Justice. It is possible that the person hired for this position will be included in the Fall 2024 cohort if their research/teaching is a strong fit. Cluster hire participants will receive mentorship and regular group meetings providing peer support and an interdisciplinary intellectual community to support their scholarly and creative work.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the potential for excellent, innovative undergraduate teaching and mentoring, and a willingness to support student research. Purpose:&nbsp;The Instructional Technology Coordinator empowers teachers to meaningfully integrate digital tools into their instruction to enhance student engagement, personalize learning, and improve academic outcomes. This role involves close collaboration with teachers, staff, and administrators to support effective technology use across teaching, learning, and school operations. Qualifications &amp; Skills:
Required:

<li>Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS.</li>
<li>Familiarity with classroom teaching tools such as SmartBoards.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills; proactive and self-directed.</li>

<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments.</li>

General Responsibilities:

Instructional Support:

<li>Partner with teachers to plan, model, and co-teach technology-integrated lessons across subject areas and grade levels.</li>
<li>Provide leadership to Associate Heads and Curriculum Coordinators in developing a curriculum that includes digital citizenship, computational thinking, creativity and innovation, and data literacy.</li>
<li>Offer expert guidance on accessibility features built into Apple devices to support diverse learners.</li>
<li>Recommend educational software, apps, and hardware aligned with instructional goals.</li>
<li>Support the integration of Apple’s Everyone Can Create and Everyone Can Code curricula.</li>
<li>Provide ongoing training on platforms such as Google Workspace for Education, FACTS SIS, and other key tools.</li>
<li>Collect and analyze data to evaluate the impact of technology initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.</li>
<li>Stay current on trends and research in instructional technology, and share insights and resources with faculty and staff.</li>
</ul>
Hardware / Software Support:

<li>Provide on-demand support for hardware and software used by Shelton staff and students.</li>
<li>Set up, configure, and break down technology equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Manage user accounts and permissions for educational platforms and software.</li>

School-Wide Support:
<ul>
<li>Design and deliver professional development workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching sessions for faculty and staff.</li>
<li>Create and maintain instructional resources such as how-to guides, video tutorials, and support documentation.</li>
<li>Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes for school-wide events and initiatives.</li>
</ul>

The role of Manager, Instructional Design is responsible for the development and implementation of innovative instructional strategies and programs. This role involves collaborating with the Learning and Development team, company leadership, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to create engaging, effective learning experiences that align with the organization's goals. This person will foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and professional growth, while overseeing project timelines and resources to ensure successful delivery of Learning and Development programs and modules. The role requires advanced experience in designing and developing high-quality instructional materials, including e-learning courses, multimedia content, and assessment tools, ensuring that all materials meet diverse learner needs. Effective communication, project management, and the capability to build and maintain cross-functional partnerships are essential, as this role partners with the National Support Center and Field Leadership Teams to ensure new and existing members are equipped to; drive strong operational execution and compliance, deliver great patient experiences, ensure an environment of care, and exceed the business objectives of our centers. This role is based in Bellevue, WA and reports into the Vice President, Enterprise Learning and Talent Development. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Identify educational needs and priorities based on performance data, feedback, and emerging trends in healthcare </li>

<li>Ensure that all educational programs comply with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards </li>

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

<ul>
<li>Preferred: 7+ years of proven record of leading and managing educational programs and teams </li>

<ul>
<li>Preferred: Certifications in Instructional Design or Educational Technology </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Substantial expertise in adult learning theories and instructional design strategies, and assessment techniques. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>High proficiency in a variety of e-learning development software and learning management systems </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated experience of delivering high-quality, effective training on a variety of roles within multiple levels </li>

Pay may vary by location, and actual compensation depends on factors like qualifications, experience, skills, and business needs. Sono Bello may adjust this range in the future.
