Mary McDowell Friends School (MMFS), a Quaker, coeducational, K-12 college preparatory program dedicated to the success of students with learning disabilities, seeks a mission-driven Director of Human Resources to begin immediately. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Human Resources will be a key member of the school’s leadership team and will develop, implement and administer human resource strategy in support of the mission of the School and reflective of its anti-racist, equitable and inclusive commitments. The Director will provide strategic direction for the organization, specifically in the areas of talent and performance management, employee relations, orientation,&nbsp; training and development, and compensation analysis. The Director of Human Resources will also provide direct support to the senior administration team on all HR matters and help to create and develop policies that attract, support, and retain excellent personnel.&nbsp;
This newly created position reflects the needs of a school that has grown in program, students and employees. In this stage of its development, MMFS seeks an experienced human resource professional who can strategically assess, evolve and create systems to support this growth. Positioning the school to stay up to date with and nimbly respond to changing HR laws and practices while also building the department’s capacity to address employee concerns effectively and efficiently is increasingly important.&nbsp;

THE POSITION
As part of the leadership team, this position is critical in helping to develop a culture that provides opportunities for all employees to grow and learn. The Director will help support the school's diversity and equity initiatives through its HR practices and policies. By examining identity, equity, and privilege in their own practice, the position will serve as a model and help sustain a school culture where all social identities feel welcomed.
Essential Functions:
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Establish and implement HR strategies that effectively communicate and support the School’s mission, strategic vision, and overall business operations objectives
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Function as an advisor to the senior administration and guide division heads/administration regarding critical organizational and management-related issues
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans using a DEIJB lens to meet the needs of the School
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Provide leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, retention, training, and leadership development
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Advise leadership on disciplinary issues that arise and possible legal implications with consultation of the school’s attorney
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Help the school manage its benefits program, host open enrollment events, and make recommendations to school leadership regarding benefit changes. Additionally, the Director of HR, in conjunction with the CFO and school leadership team, will meet with the school’s health insurance broker to review health benefits, recommend modifications to the benefits lineup and funding strategies as necessary

■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Consistently review employment practices and ensure that the school complies with them, as well as analyze the school’s existing policies and procedures to propose improvements and/or issue new policies when needed&nbsp;
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Help oversee the maintenance of employment manuals, ensure all policies continue to meet the school's needs, and update the manuals as new protocols and policies are established by external agencies such as State and Federal governments. These protocols and policies include the following but are not limited to:&nbsp;

■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Work with the CFO to oversee and manage the school’s retirement plans to ensure compliance with sections 402(g) and 415 and ERISA regulations&nbsp;

The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and CEPS Administrative team on planning and implementing college strategic initiatives. The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. Essential Job Responsibilities Application Support
<ul>
<li>Provide application support by troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and delivering timely resolutions</li>
<li>Document customer contacts, issues, and requests using the company's Service Desk issue tracking system</li>
<li>Ensure proper documentation, timely follow-up, appropriate escalation, and resolution of reported issues</li>
<li>Assist users with application navigation and system functionality</li>
<li>Recognize the critical nature of business operations and work to meet service level agreement (SLA) expectations or provide acceptable workarounds when necessary</li>
<li>Leverage system knowledge to research and resolve issues, and contribute to knowledge sharing by submitting FAQs or documentation for publication</li>
<li>Communicate process improvement recommendations to management for review and approval</li>
</ul>
Payroll Support
<ul>
<li>Review employee payroll data to ensure accuracy prior to paycheck processing</li>
<li>Review and reconcile timekeeping data weekly, ensuring all time is entered and approved by supervisors</li>
<li>Import and reconcile timekeeping hours into the payroll system on a weekly basis</li>
<li>Accurately input weekly hourly and/or biweekly salaried payroll information, including overtime, deductions, and exceptions</li>
<li>Prepare, reconcile, and transmit ADP payroll files and verify reconciliation reports for accuracy</li>
<li>Investigate and respond to employee inquiries related to pay, deductions, allowances, or discrepancies</li>
<li>Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee data</li>
</ul>

Desk Side Support Specialist - Tier 2 
 
Position Overview
The Service Desk (Tier II) Deskside Support Contractor will provide advanced technical support to troubleshoot, repair, deploy, and install customer computing devices, peripherals, software, and associated IT assets at on-site locations. This role requires hands-on expertise in hardware and software maintenance, strong customer service skills, and the ability to support both routine and specialized IT needs. The contractor will ensure reliable IT operations for SC employees, including executive staff, across on-site and occasional off-site environments.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver deskside (Tier II) support for troubleshooting, repair, deployment, and installation of computing devices, peripherals, software, and IT assets.
Perform routine device and software maintenance, including proactive updates, patches, diagnostics, and optimization to minimize downtime.
Manage and maintain a loaner pool of mobile devices and peripherals (laptops, smartphones, tablets, projectors, etc.) for short-term employee use.
Prepare obsolete computers, peripherals, and software for excess, ensuring secure data removal from hard drives in compliance with DOE, NIST, and OIM guidance/orders.
Ensure availability, functionality, and proper tracking of IT assets, supporting readiness for new device types and technologies.
Provide IT equipment setup and services for SC meetings, ensuring operational readiness; support may be required off-site.
Install, operate, and maintain videoconference systems; deliver customer training and instructional documentation for system use.
Provide executive staff off-site support (approximately once or twice per year) to ensure access to SC Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and automated services.
Support existing and emerging technologies, including Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, desktops, laptops) and other standard/future product suites.
Ensure deskside support staff maintain foundational knowledge in hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting methodologies aligned with industry standards (CompTIA A+, ITIL v4 Foundations, HDI Certification).
Maintain staff proficiency through ongoing certifications and training to align with technological advancements and regulatory changes.
Adapt to evolving technologies, platforms, and organizational priorities to ensure continued alignment with SC needs.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge equivalent to industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL v4 Foundations, or HDI Certification.
Hands-on experience with deskside support, including hardware/software troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance.
Proficiency in supporting Apple devices and Microsoft-based environments.
Knowledge of secure data removal practices aligned with DOE, NIST, and OIM standards.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to train and document processes for end-users.
Flexibility to support off-site meetings and executive staff as required.
