Job Summary: As a Bartender, you will play a vital role in supporting the Bar Manager in providing exceptional service to our guests. The Assistant Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, interacting with customers, taking orders, and ensuring the accuracy of transactions through the POS system. We are seeking individuals with a friendly and upbeat attitude, a commitment to quality, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring all orders are accounted for in the POS system.</li>
<li>Work with the management team to achieve year-over-year growth, profitability, and guest satisfaction.</li>
<li>Execute programs to lead to increased sales and profitability.</li>
<li>Understand all menu items and effectively upsell to guests.</li>
<li>Ensure safety by keeping areas free from hazards, addressing and correcting any practices that lower safety standards.</li>
<li>Avoid over-serving alcohol and check the ID of every patron to prevent serving minors.</li>
<li>Handle guest complaints and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.</li>
<li>Obtain TIPS Certification.</li>

Primary Responsibilities&nbsp;&nbsp;• Greet guests; take beverage orders from the restaurant servers or directly from guests • Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company &nbsp;standards&nbsp;• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol &nbsp;• Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures&nbsp;• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts&nbsp;• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing &nbsp;beverages and serving guests&nbsp;• Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies&nbsp;• Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate&nbsp;• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions • Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and &nbsp;windows, etc. as needed&nbsp;• Provide guidance to guests on resort activities, dining options and general resort and regional &nbsp;information&nbsp;• Other duties as assigned&nbsp;Education/Experience&nbsp;• High school diploma or GED required&nbsp;• One year prior bartending experience required&nbsp;• Hospitality experience preferred&nbsp;• Excellent oral communication skills required&nbsp;• Positive interpersonal skills required&nbsp;• State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card&nbsp;• Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays&nbsp;Our company provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for &nbsp;employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color,&nbsp; religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
