Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

\n

• Monday through Friday schedule, 5x8-hour shifts with hours starting as early as 7:00 AM and ending as late as 8:00 PM depending on unit needs and traveler availability
\n • No weekends and no on-call required
\n • Treat approximately 60-70 patients per day with approximately 40 patients on TrueBeam, 25 patients on Ethos, and 5 patients on MRI-LinAc
\n • Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric with occasional adolescent patients
\n • Work as part of a team including 13 Radiation Therapists, 3 Dosimetrists, 3 Physicists, 3 RNs, 4 Physicians, 3 Front Desk Schedulers, 1 Biller, and 1 RTT-Aide
\n • EPIC documentation system used for charting
\n • Grey scrubs required and are not provided
\n • Approximately 3 orientation shifts provided with more available as needed
\n • First-time travelers accepted
\n • Minimum 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferred
\n • Required certifications: BLS, ARRT T, California State License
\n • Required skills and experience: Adult Outpatient, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, Benign Brain Tumors, External Beam Therapy, IMRT - Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, Prostate Cancer with Seeds/Fiducials, Respiratory Gating, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Varis-Vision/ARIA, ARIA, TrueBeam, Radiation Safety
\n • Preferred skills and experience: CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Teaching Hospital, Gynecomastia, Keloids, Superior Vena Cava, Assist with Intracavity/Interstitial Administration, Siemens, Varian 21 ex/ix, Varian Trilogy, Vision RT, Care of the patient in restraints, Crash Cart, Defibrillators, Emergency Cases, Lift/Transfer Devices, Patient/Family Teaching, Billing for Treatment Types and Devices, Isolation Precautions, Use of Rapid Response/Code Teams
\n • Preferred cancer treatment experience: Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia, Pancreatic Cancer, Testicular Cancer
\n • Special equipment used: TrueBeam LinAc, Ethos, MRIdian, CT-Siemens OpenGoPro, HDR Elekta Flexitron
