This role focuses on accurately receiving, tracking, and organizing warehouse inventory while supporting daily operations in a small, collaborative warehouse environment. You will manage incoming and outgoing products using an ERP system and RF scanner, stage orders for delivery, and assist with general warehouse tasks to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive inventory from deliveries and accurately enter all information into the ERP inventory tracking system.
- Stock inventory in designated holding areas within the warehouse, ensuring items are organized and easy to locate.
- Perform daily and weekly cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- Utilize an RF scanner to scan products in and out of inventory, ensuring real-time data accuracy.
- Stage orders in the afternoon for the following day’s deliveries, organizing items by route and priority.
- Assist installers with unloading materials and managing trash and packaging when they return to the warehouse.
- Handle large and heavy items, including team lifting glass shower doors and other bulky products when needed.
- Communicate effectively via computer and email (Outlook) to coordinate inventory updates and respond to internal requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company standards.
- Work proactively as a self-starter, identifying tasks that need attention and helping improve workflow where possible.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience using an ERP or inventory tracking system to manage and update stock records.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including data entry and email tools such as Outlook.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely, including team lifting large glass shower doors and other heavy items.
- Hands-on experience using an RF scanner for scanning products in and out of inventory.
- Demonstrated self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision.
- Prior inventory, shipping and receiving, or general warehouse experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift experience or exposure to operating warehouse material handling equipment.
- Basic plumbing or construction knowledge, particularly familiarity with parts and components used in installations.
- Experience working in a smaller warehouse or shop environment where responsibilities are broad and varied.

Work Environment

Daily work involves handling physical inventory, including heavy and bulky items, and using tools such as an ERP system, RF scanner, and computer applications like Outlook. The environment suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and operating in a setting where tasks vary throughout the day and teamwork is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
