This role involves tracking and inspecting inbound materials, verifying received items, and maintaining accurate inventory records using a computer-based system. You will support daily warehouse operations by handling materials safely and efficiently while ensuring all documentation remains up to date and accurate.

Responsibilities

  • Track and inspect inbound materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Verify items received against packing lists, purchase orders, or other documentation.
  • Use a computer system to track inventory and update stock levels in real time.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, including receipts, movements, and adjustments.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently using appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Support general labor tasks within the warehouse, including organizing, labeling, and staging materials.
  • Assist with receiving operations by unloading, checking, and documenting incoming shipments.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including preparing outbound shipments and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Follow established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Ability to use computer systems to track inventory and update records.
  • Knowledge of inventory tracking processes and best practices.
  • Experience with general labor tasks in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience in receiving operations, including checking and documenting incoming goods.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving functions, including handling outbound shipments.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and documentation.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous clerk experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and basic logistics processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.

Work Environment

The role involves standing, walking, and handling materials throughout the day, as well as using computer systems to manage inventory. You will work around standard warehouse equipment and material handling tools, following safety procedures and operational guidelines in a collaborative team setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
