Medical Receptionist

Part-Time | Mandatory Saturdays

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable individual to join our medical office team as a Part-Time Medical Receptionist. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in healthcare. Full training will be provided — no prior medical office experience is required.

Saturday availability is required. Additional weekday hours may be available.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner

• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries

• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments

• Verify patient demographics and insurance information at check-in

• Collect copays and process payments accurately

• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

• Keep the front desk and waiting area clean and organized

• Scan and file medical records and documents as needed

• Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks as directed

Schedule & Hours

• Part-time position — approximately 15-20 hours per week

• Saturday hours are mandatory

• Potential for additional weekday shifts based on availability and office need

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

• Professional, courteous, and patient-centered communication style

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Reliability and punctuality — especially on Saturdays

• Basic computer proficiency (email, data entry, scheduling software)

Preferred (not required):

• Previous customer service or receptionist experience

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) software

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
