JOB SUMMARY: The Director, Policy and Advocacy will serve in a leadership position of the Cancer Policy Institute to develop and implement CSCs overall strategy related to regulatory and legislative priorities. The individual selected for this role will be a self-starter, experienced in public policy, and committed to fulfilling the mission of CSC. This role is based in Washington, DC, and the individual will report to the Vice President, Policy and Advocacy of the Cancer Policy Institute.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Program Management:

<li>Work to develop and implement the policy and advocacy agenda of the Cancer Policy Institute</li>
<li>Serve as a public face of CSC and Cancer Policy Institute at coalition meetings, with policymakers and funders, and at other external convenings with national partners</li>
<li>Lead coordination and development of activities around CPI meetings and convenings (e.g. Network Partner quarterly meetings, Utilization Management roundtables)</li>
<li>Lead activities around Hill Days, meetings with Congressional staff, and other offerings</li>
<li>Lead and manage activities around grassroots communication and advocacy toolkits with Network Partners, patients, and caregivers (e.g. 340B, utilization management, patient engagement, CAR-T cell therapy)</li>
<li>Manage and oversee specific state-based strategies, as assigned (e.g. 340B, CAR-T cell therapy, Medicaid, telehealth, utilization management) </li>
<li>Effectively disseminate methodology and results of CSC projects and services with the goal of influencing state and national policy and practices</li>
<li>Steward and develop relationships with funders</li>

Advocacy Expert:

<li>Identify, track, and monitor emerging public policy issues in line with CSCs strategic plan</li>
<li>Conduct strategic policy analysis, research issues and draft reports (both informational and instructional) for internal and external distribution</li>
<li>Secure and grow relationships with funders, policymakers across multiple sectors, fellow advocates, and other stakeholders</li>
<li>Engage and coordinate with CSCs national partners to identify areas of common work and consensus, and to advocate collectively for positive change for people affected by cancer </li>

People Leader:

<li>Coach and mentor staff in the development of capabilities within the department, within CSC and within the support community.</li>

Job Description 
Role Summary
The Analytics Product Manager&nbsp;delivers strategic analytics to Value-Based Platform (VBP) products, translating product goals and workflows into actionable analytics to support measurable clinical and financial impact for the patients we serve. This role bridges business stakeholders, analytics teams, and product leadership - leveraging best practices, deep healthcare domain knowledge, and data-driven decision-making to maximize the value and adoption of operational and strategic analytics products across Risant Health's VBP. The Product Manager applies requirements gathering, user research, and agile methodologies to optimize delivery of analytics products, identifies analytics and monitoring best practices, surfaces opportunity areas for product improvement, and ensures analytics deliver meaningful insights to clinical, operational, and financial users.
You'll apply your knowledge of value-based care, healthcare analytics, and product management to transform existing products from good to exceptional. This role blends user-centered design with rigorous analysis of product performance and stakeholder needs, driving adoption and measurable value realization while supporting growth and continuous improvement across product portfolio.&nbsp;You’ll apply your knowledge of healthcare data, analytics best practices, and value based care to translate data into measurable value.&nbsp;
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy &amp; Stakeholder Management
<ul>
<li>Own vision, roadmap, and backlog to deliver analytics products and results for Risant's&nbsp;VBP solutions&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serve as primary liaison between analytics team and VBP product owners, RHO clinical/operational leaders, and internal technical teams and leadership</li>
<li>Conduct regular user feedback sessions, adoption reviews, and value realization assessments to identify enhancement opportunities and measure product impact</li>
<li>Partner with VBP leadership to ensure analytics support new product development and vision throughout the SDLC process</li>
</ul>
Foundational, Predictive &amp; Performance Analytics
<ul>
<li>Medical Cost Analytics: Build and evolve analytic capabilities that pinpoint cost drivers, impactable populations, and high-ROI opportunities for VBP Solutions</li>
<li>Program &amp; Platform Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of Risant’s value-based care platform solutions, quantifying how initiatives and products&nbsp;deliver measurable value. Develop methods to continuously assess program performance, sustainability, and system-wide impact.</li>
<li>Core Analytic Assets: Develop and maintain foundational analytic tools including metrics,&nbsp;models, logic and enrichment engines to drive product delivery and impact across the portfolio</li>
<li>Data Pipelines, Visualizations &amp; Business Artifacts:&nbsp;Scope and design&nbsp;analytic pipelines, dashboards, and evaluation templates that make insights transparent, repeatable, and actionable. Build visualizations and reports that communicate value to leaders in clinical, operational, and financial domains.</li>
</ul>
Data Stewardship &amp; Collaboration&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Contribute analytic templates, metric definitions, views and insights to the Risant governance model, to drive shared learning and collective performance improvement.</li>
<li>Implement automated data-quality checks and maintain clear documentation to ensure traceability and reliability of results.</li>
<li>Maintain and approve semantic layers and analytic datasets that underpin enterprise reporting and insight generation.</li>
</ul>
Collaboration &amp; Communication
<ul>
<li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure analytics translate into real-world decisions and measurable results.</li>
<li>Present findings through concise narratives and visualizations that clearly connect data to value.</li>
<li>Promote a culture of agile analytics, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the team and partner organizations.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications 
Education
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree required in Data Science, Health Economics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative or healthcare analytics field.</li>
<li>Master’s degree preferred (e.g., MPH, MS in Data Science, Health Informatics, or Applied Analytics).</li>
</ul>
Required Experience
<ul>
<li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare analytics, health economics, or program evaluation, ideally within a payer, provider, or value-based care organization.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience using claims, administrative, and unstructured data sources to evaluate program performance, cost of care, and ROI.</li>
</ul>
Required Technical Competencies
<ul>
<li>Experience developing in cloud-based data ecosystems and analytics pipelines&nbsp;(Azure Synapse, Databricks, Delta Lake) integrating claims, clinical, and unstructured data sources.</li>
<li>Ability to create clear, high-impact visual summaries in modern visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).</li>
<li>Understanding of key healthcare payment models and metrics (TCOC, attribution, risk adjustment, utilization).</li>
<li>Familiarity with agile analytic delivery methods (sprints, backlog management, iterative delivery).</li>
</ul>
 Additional Information 
Benefits:&nbsp;The projected base salary for this position ranges from $156,000 -&nbsp;$171,600 depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for comprehensive benefits package, including wellness programs, retirement savings, and relocation support as applicable. This role is hybrid with an office location in Washington, D.C.
