We are seeking a skilled and licensed Electrician with a strong background in service work to join our team. As a Service Electrician, you will be responsible for providing electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. You will work on a variety of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes, while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and installations in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues with circuits, wiring, panels, lighting, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
• Install and maintain electrical systems including lighting, panels, and electrical outlets.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe working conditions for yourself and others.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships by communicating clearly and professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Prepare and submit reports on completed jobs, including time spent, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Assist with emergency service calls as needed as part of our on-call rotation.
• Keep Van, and work areas clean and organized, and ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and stocked as needed.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices or junior electricians as required.
Qualifications:
• Valid MA Electrical Journeyman’s License. RI License a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical service work as a licensed electrician.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations (NEC compliance).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Proficient in the use of electrical tools and equipment, including testers, drills, and power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Background in commercial and industrial electrical systems is a plus.
• Background in copper network cabling and terminations is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.
