Pipe Layer Overview:
The Pipe Layer is responsible for preparing and laying pipe for storm drains, sanitary sewers, waterlines, and other types of pipelines. The Pipe Layer ensures that trenches are properly excavated, shored, and prepared for pipeline installation. The Pipe Layer grades and levels trench foundations, aligns and positions pipes, and checks pipe slopes using levels or lasers to ensure they conform to specifications. The Pipe Layer also ensures that trenches are bedded and backfilled properly so pipe isnt out of round and installs pipes that are on grade and airtight as required. The Pipe Layer supports the Foreman in monitoring progress, ensuring work is completed safely, and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Advanced knowledge of equipment, and setup, of lasers, transits, grade rods, and line levels.</li>
<li>Vast knowledge of differing types of soils, and shoring techniques. As well as following the OSHA rules and guidelines for trenching and sloping.</li>
<li>Advanced understanding of survey stakes. E.G. cuts, fills, and elevations</li>
<li>Lay out pipe routes using blueprints, and coordinate with Foreman</li>
<li>Be able to set the pipe laser up in the manhole and establish line.</li>
<li>Enter the proposed slope in the laser.</li>
<li>Understand tenths and how to read grade rod</li>
<li>24 months construction experience</li>
<li>Able to use logic, reason, and math as needed for the job</li>
<li>Ability to generate efficient methods quickly to resolve roadblocks</li>
<li>Ability to adapt to differing soil types and conditions</li>
<li>Can install good pipe on shallow grades without rework in decent ground, and minimal water</li>
<li>Can install structures that are oversized.</li>
<li>Set the pace of the crew</li>
</ul>

We are seeking a GIS Business Analyst who will utilize geospatial data to enhance network planning, market analysis, and infrastructure deployment. This role involves evaluating coverage areas, customer demographics, and asset locations to support data-driven decision-making and optimize service delivery for clients.

Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Apply a strong understanding of utility design and engineering principles to support informed decision-making. </li>
<li>Analyze, interpret, and visualize spatial data related to fiber optic, wireless, and broadband infrastructure. </li>
<li>Design, develop, and maintain geospatial dashboards, maps, and reports to support Strategic planning and operational needs. </li>
<li>Integrate and analyze diverse datasets including Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Broadband Data Collection (BDC), National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Fabric, and internal network asset data. </li>
<li>Experience using Power BI and Smallworld GIS. </li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of GIS software, collection tools, and equipment. </li>
<li>Experience with Excel, SQL, and scripting tools (e.g., Python, FME, and Model Builder for automation). </li>
<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, planning, and sales teams to identify coverage gaps, service opportunities, and market trends. </li>
<li>Build predictive models and conduct site suitability analyses using ESRI GIS tools. </li>
<li>Support broadband grant applications and compliance reporting with accurate and defensible spatial data. </li>
<li>Translate complex spatial analytics into actionable business intelligence for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. </li>
<li>Maintain spatial databases and documentation, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and usability. </li>
<li>Assist with process automation and workflow optimization for data imports, spatial queries, and reporting. </li>
<li>Meeting with Project Designers to review project data and the ability to input that data into ESRI or similar software. </li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality on all data and information relative to customer and sensitive internal reports. </li>
<li>Perform other related duties as assigned by management.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications

<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience in a GIS business analysis role; 1+ year in the telecom or utilities sector. </li>
<li>Proficiency in ESRI GIS software: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, etc. </li>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office and other web-based applications with the ability to learn new software programs. </li>
<li>Proficiency in geospatial analysis and data visualization. </li>
<li>Strong understanding of telecommunications networks, including fiber, wireless, and backbone infrastructure. </li>
<li>Experience with data integration, cleaning, and transformation processes. </li>
<li>Familiarity with key telecom data sources such as FCC Form 477, Broadband Data Collection (BDC), and NTIA Broadband Fabric. </li>
<li>Solid knowledge of telecommunications methodologies, tools, and software. </li>
<li>Business intelligence and reporting expertise. </li>
<li>Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. </li>
<li>Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements through innovative techniques, technologies, or concepts. </li>
<li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. </li>
<li>Ability to clearly convey insights and collaborate effectively across departments. </li>

Shift is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. Must be flexible, and willing and able to work outside normal business hours as necessary. 
 
Additional Information

<li>Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. </li>
<li>Approximately 25% overnight travel, as needed, to complete job responsibilities. </li>
