Swim Instructor Responsibilities

The Environmental, Health, Safety &amp; Sustainability (EHS&amp;S) Intern will support site-level and cross-functional initiatives in a robust ISO 14001 and 45001 Environmental, Occupational, Health &amp; Safety (EOH&amp;S) Management System to ensure regulatory compliance, safe workplace standards, and continuous improvement of sustainability practices.
This internship provides hands-on experience in a facility that includes Manufacturing, Research &amp; Development, and New Product Innovation environments. With progressive responsibility throughout the summer, Internship candidates will be exposed to how EHS&amp;S programs protect people, the environment, and business operations within a global organization.
Responsibilities
Health &amp; Safety
<ul>
<li>Participate in facility safety inspections, Machine Guarding Assessments and other related risk assessments, and Management of Change processes.</li>
<li>Assist with updating Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, chemical inventories, and PPE assessments.</li>
<li>Observe and document production, R&amp;D, and NPI processes to identify potential EHS opportunities for improvement or enhancement.</li>
<li>Support ergonomic assessments and corrective action implementation.</li>
</ul>
Environmental Compliance &amp; Sustainability
<ul>
<li>Assist with environmental reporting, audits, and data collection (waste, water usage, energy consumption, emissions).</li>
<li>Support sustainability initiatives tied to recycling programs, resource efficiency, and environmental impact reduction.</li>
<li>Help maintain environmental records and documentation for regulatory and corporate reporting.</li>
</ul>
Training &amp; Program Development
<ul>
<li>Help develop safety training materials, presentations, and toolbox talks.</li>
<li>Assist with updating and communicating EHS&amp;S policies, signage, and employee communication materials.</li>
<li>Coordinate and track employee participation in training programs.</li>
</ul>
Data Analysis &amp; Continuous Improvement
<ul>
<li>Analyze EHS&amp;S data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.</li>
<li>Cultivate leading indicators to help direct future EHS&amp;S initiatives.</li>
<li>Support special projects assigned by the EHS&amp;S Manager.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in:

<li>Occupational Safety &amp; Environmental Health or Safety Sciences </li>
<li>Occupational Health &amp; Safety</li>
<li>Environmental Science / Engineering</li>
<li>Sustainability</li>
<li>Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Strong interest in EHS-related regulations, workplace safety, and sustainability.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools.</li>
</ul>
