POSITION SUMMARY:
Skate Hosts are the friendly faces of the rink-creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for all skaters. This highly visible, guest-facing role is perfect for those who love the ice, enjoy helping others, and have great energy. Skate Hosts are responsible for monitoring the ice, assisting guests, and maintaining a positive atmosphere while ensuring all safety procedures are followed. 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

<li>Actively monitor skaters on the ice and help maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>
<li>Must be an intermediate-level skater or better</li>
<li>Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays - No exceptions</li>
<li>Comfortable skating for extended periods (4-8 hours per shift)</li>
<li>Enthusiastic, reliable, and team-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and stressful situations</li>
<li>Must have excellent guest service skills</li>
<li>Previous experience as a Skate Host or in a similar role is preferred</li>

Front Desk &amp; Sales Lead – Boutique Fitness Studio (Georgetown, DC)
 
Join a thriving boutique fitness studio located in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, D.C. We are seeking an energetic, organized, and personable Front Desk &amp; Sales Lead to oversee front-of-house operations and drive membership growth.
 
This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for wellness, an eye for detail, and the ability to create meaningful connections with clients. The ideal candidate has experience in sales, customer service, or hospitality and thrives in a fast-paced environment where every interaction matters.
 
Position Overview
The Front Desk &amp; Sales Lead plays a vital role in the success of the studio by managing the guest experience from first impression to membership close. This position oversees the day-to-day front desk operations, sales process, and team mentorship to ensure every client interaction reflects the studio’s commitment to excellence.
 
You will be responsible for meeting sales goals, training and motivating team members, and delivering exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and through digital communication channels.
 
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Lead all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospecting, follow-up, tours, and closing new memberships</li>
<li>Train and mentor front desk and sales associates to ensure operational excellence and consistent customer service</li>
<li>Maintain and execute daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks to support business goals</li>
<li>Conduct engaging studio tours, identify client needs, and recommend personalized membership options</li>
<li>Manage client communication through phone, text, and email, providing prompt, professional, and friendly responses</li>
<li>Participate in local events and community outreach initiatives to promote brand awareness</li>
<li>Collaborate with ownership and leadership on marketing and sales strategies to achieve quarterly targets</li>
<li>Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management for the front desk and sales team</li>
<li>Foster a culture of positivity, accountability, and wellness within the studio community</li>
</ul>
 
What We’re Looking For
<ul>
<li>2 or more years of experience in sales, membership services, retail management, or hospitality operations</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with new clients and leading a team</li>
<li>Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple systems and priorities</li>
<li>Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn and navigate various scheduling and CRM platforms</li>
<li>A true team player with a proactive attitude and a passion for health and community</li>
<li>Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours per day</li>
<li>Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues</li>
<li>Flexible availability including evenings or weekends as needed</li>
</ul>
 
Compensation &amp; Benefits
<ul>
<li>Base Compensation: $24-$26/hr</li>
<li>Commission: 10% on all membership and retail sales</li>
<li>Health Insurance: Company-sponsored coverage</li>
<li>Paid Time Off: Available after one year of employment</li>
<li>Remote Work: One day per week after one year in the position</li>
