<li>Work with scheduler to understand potential bottle necks in production for efficient completion of work.</li>
<li>Work with your hands and be able to move from station to station where help is needed.</li>
<li>Quality control – Be a consistent, steady guide toward the quality of products leaving the facility.</li>
<li>Adhere to and maintain safety regulations and risks.</li>
<li>Ability to read and understand work order instructions.</li>
<li>Jump in and assist in areas that are getting bogged down.</li>
<li>Operate many pieces of equipment and printing presses, including but not limited to Mimaki UV Inkjet, Sublimation Presses and Ovens, HP Indigo 7K, Clam Shell Die Cutting machine, laser engravers.</li>
<li>Performs other job duties as assigned to meet production needs.</li>

Boston Harbor City Cruises is seeking a Marine Craftsmen for our Boston, MA operation. 
 About You:

 About the Opportunity: 
The Marine Craftsman position is a shore based position that offers the qualified employee the opportunity to showcase their craftsmanship skills attention to detail and quality of work to support a comprehensive marine construction and repair and program designed to support and maintain the New England based fleet.
This position is primarily based in the Charlestown, Massachusetts maintenance and layover terminal but will also include other locations owned and operated by Boston Harbor City Cruises. 
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES 
The Marine Craftsman must work in a safe, methodical, and consistent manner under the direction and guidance of the Director of Esthetics and Welding, performing, or learning to perform the tasks outlined by the Director.
·  Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and fabrication on passenger vessels and on company owned dockside facilities, docks, piers, and buildings. ·  Vessel and dockside facility plumbing repairs to pipes, valves, tanks, piping, appliances, and pumping systems. ·  Vessel interior and exterior painting preparation and painting, including but not limited to descaling then painting vessel decks, hull interiors and exteriors, topside superstructures, and interior walls, ceilings, and floors. ·  Welding preparation, fabrication of new and repair of structures, welding of various metals in repair or new fabrication. ·  Carpentry and craftsmanship of interior journey, walls, ceilings, decks, and all other building materials found on passenger vessels. ·  Documentation and monitoring of maintenance and repair work through the company web based and structured maintenance and repair program as requested and assisted by the Director. ·  Participate in computer and mobile phone-based monitoring and input of maintenance tasks, work hours, and company training and documentation programs. ·  Work hours and shifts as assigned by the Director. ·  Additional job duties as assigned. 
 REQUIREMENTS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS 
·  Professional painting and paint surface preparation. Painting of steel, aluminum, wood, and veneers. ·  Skilled carpentry training and experience. Working in wood, fire resistant veneers, flooring, and ceiling materials. Must have good attention to detail and quality workmanship. ·  Welding and metal fabrication training and experience. Welding training should include MIG, TIG, electric ARC and wire feed welders, and fabrication experience preferably in ferrous and non-ferrous metals making repair to existing structures as well as fabrication of new structures. ·  Plumbing and pipe fitting training and experience. This work includes refurbishment or redesign of bathrooms, vessel water pumping, steel piping, exhaust piping and fluid drainage systems, ·  Be able and willing to wear personal safety clothing and equipment such as hard hats, gloves, face masks, life vests, safety harness etc.as necessary for safe work practice and company policy guidelines. ·  Be physically fit enough to lift weights of 50lbs. or more safely and at times on moving vessels. ·  Be prepared to work in outdoor New England weather conditions in all seasons for several hours at a time. This is a hands on, non-administrative position, best suited for a person that gains satisfaction from working with their hands, putting their current skills to good use, while still learning new skills as opportunities arise.
