The Tier II Support position provides frontline support and technical assistance to our customers' IT staff. Duties and Responsibilities:

Effectively listen to all communications, identifying all issues and are resolved, including those that are regarding process, general concerns, chronic or systemic in nature
Identify, document, and report issues with software, design, reliability, and maintenance issues to the proper teams, ensuring that they are aware of and are addressing customer expectations
Develop and maintain consistent performance on all key performance indicators
Avoid escalation through proper communication and by engaging proper resources before the customer becomes frustrated and asks for escalation
Use tools to pull and effectively analyze logs, traces, packet captures, etc. to determine root cause of issues
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
Required Qualification:
4+ years' work experience in a technical support capacity supporting Internet Service Providers, networks, and/or Business Software
Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills for diverse issues in high-pressure, complex, multi-platform/system/vendor environments 3+ years of experience in a helpdesk environment specifically Tier II Support
Excellent professional, written and verbal communication skills
Familiar with contact center management concepts such as scheduling, performance measures and management, reporting, quality assurance methods, analytics, etc.
Experience with government work is highly desirable.
Some project manager experience is a plus.

RMC is building a pipeline for Linux System Administrators who will provide Linux based workstations and server support to an RDT&amp;E environment at Patuxent River, MD. This is a pipeline position and candidates will be contacted if/when a funded position opens.
If selected, the applicant will perform a variety of information technology/infrastructure activities, as well as IT inventory management. 
The selected candidate will need the following skillsets:
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of virtual and physical networking configuration.</li>
<li>Strong hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skill sets.</li>
<li>RedHat 7, or higher, Enterprise administration, including workstation and server.</li>
<li>ACAS/Nessus experience or similar vulnerability scanner familiarity.</li>
<li>Provide support for the administration of multiple VMWare ESXi environments across the RDT&amp;E enterprise.</li>
<li>Provide support the virtualization of Linux based virtual machines.</li>
<li>Experience using distributed file systems.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in providing tier 1 – tier 3 support to niche SME end users. </li>
<li>Applicant must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and have excellent written and oral communication skills. </li>
<li>Occasional travel is required.</li>

Requirements

<li> A high school diploma or GED and five (5) years of relevant experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, systems maintenance, and systems monitoring/reporting are required.</li>
<li>A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field is highly desired.</li>
<li>An active Top Secret security clearance is required to start.</li>
<li>Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.</li>
<li>Must have DoD 8570/DoN 5239 IAT Level II certification (Security + CE).</li>
