Job Description
Responsibilities include document control and handling, coordination of project requirements between the field, office, and municipalities. Providing administrative and functional support for Construction/Engineering Operations. Track and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from start of contract through completion. Review plans and specifications. Coordinate project scheduling. Organize project documents and correspondence. Possess excellent organization and communications skills, both verbal and written. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters by performing the duties listed below.
Job Duties
- Relate to daily activities, whereabouts and progress of multiple construction crews and their projects
- Works with members of the project team to ensure daily objectives are met
- Coordinate scheduling and communications
- Review project proposal or plan to develop work plan, time frame, budgets, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects
- Collect daily/weekly progress updates from project task leaders and modify schedules or plans as needed to ensure objectives are met
- Develop schedules, solutions and recommendations to resolve delays when needed
- Report progress and problems with recommendation for solutions to Project Manager
- Confer with project teams to provide technical advice and resolve problems
- Work with Accounting and Purchasing to keep projects in good financial standing
- Assist in final closeout of projects
- Provide administrative office support as needed
- All phases of permitting process
- Coordinating utility locates for projects
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal required
- Self-starter who can work independently
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
- Familiarity with construction management practices and experience in construction field
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics, plans, diagrams, specifications, shop drawings and related documents used in construction projects
Education Requirement
Bachelors of Engineering or Construction Management
