Clipper Tree Service is currently seeking a new Groundperson to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting tree care operations and ensuring the safety and efficiency of work performed by our climbers and arborists. We are seeking experienced candidates who want to learn and advance in the Tree Care industry.
Responsibilities for the job include;
- Provides support for the other crew members by preparing and securing ropes, limbs, equipment and persons from aloft
- Supplying tools for tree workers
- Drive large trucks and trailers
- Safely operate equipment such as chippers and skid loaders
- Safely operate chainsaws
- Properly maintain, prepare and operate those tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more
- Controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed by use of warning devices and other methods
- Cutting, chipping and loading brush and wood and proper job site cleanup – we leave every jobsite organized and tidy
- Assist climber in roping/rigging operations
Qualifications for the job include;
- Valid driver’s license and your own vehicle to get to work
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Experience using hand and power tools applicable to trade
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Team oriented, good listener, willingness to take direction
