Automotive Tire Distribution Equipment Operator

U.S. Venture Group
locationBridgeton, MO, USA
PublishedPublished: 6/14/2022
Full Time

Job Description

Job DescriptionStep Into a Fast-Moving Warehouse Role

Imagine starting your shift in a high-energy distribution center where tires and auto parts move swiftly and safely to their next stop. As a key operator on our team, you’ll keep the flow steady—navigating forklifts and order pickers, scanning inventory with precision, and making sure every item lands exactly where it belongs.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate industrial vehicles—forklifts and order pickers—to load, unload, and stock tires and automotive parts in a fast-paced warehouse.
  • Use handheld scanners to locate, put away, and track products; assist with ongoing inventory control activities.
  • Work confidently at height; some racking rises to approximately 25 feet and you’ll operate equipment safely at those levels.
  • Lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout your shift and up to 80 lbs on occasion; complete team lifts or use mechanical aids for commercial tires.
  • When handling barrels or industrial/agricultural tires, apply up to 40 lbs of pushing force as needed.
  • Stay on your feet for extended periods; be prepared to work overtime as business needs arise.
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture by following all safety policies and operating procedures.
  • Pitch in across departments—including eCommerce, inventory, and will call—based on operational priorities.

Tools, Safety, and Environment

Protective Equipment: Steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, safety harness, seatbelt, and SRL (self-retracting lifeline). U.S. AutoForce provides all required equipment except steel/composite toe boots. All team members must follow manufacturer and company guidelines for proper PPE use.

Physical Qualifications: You must meet the visual, auditory, physical, and mental requirements to operate equipment safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Setting: Expect moderate noise and exposure to prevailing weather conditions. Fumes associated with tires—and occasionally car parts and lubricants—may be present.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Highly competitive wages starting at $21/hr
  • Weekly pay
  • Work boot reimbursement program
  • Healthcare benefits available on your first day
  • 401(k) with generous employer contribution and match
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays
  • On-the-job training and skill development
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Employee discount programs

Additional Information

Duties in this role are not exhaustive. You may be asked to take on other job-related tasks and follow job-related instructions from your supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodations.
