Job Description
The Customer Service Writer is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, preparing repair orders, communicating with the technicians, providing repair estimates, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from check-in through vehicle pick up.
Key Responsibilities:
-Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
-Create and manage their repair orders in the shop management system.
-Explain recommended repairs, maintenance, and associated costs.
-Prepare estimates and obtain customer authorization before work begins.
-Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics and repair progress.
-Keep customers informed about repair status and completion times.
-Process invoices and collect payments
-Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally
-Coordinate with parts suppliers to ensure needed parts are available
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in writing service invoices
-Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repair.
-1-3 years of experience in any Vehicle service advisor role.
