PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Disaster Educator plays a vital role in providing education and resources related to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery to the community. This position is responsible for developing and delivering educational programs and materials to increase community resilience and ensure individuals, families, and communities are better prepared to handle natural or man-made disasters. The specialist will work closely with county extension offices, emergency management agencies, and community organizations to coordinate and implement disaster education initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;

<li>Conduct needs assessments to identify community disaster preparedness gaps and priorities.</li>
<li>Design, develop, and deliver educational programs and workshops related to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.</li>

Staff Assistant/Behavioral Health Counselor 

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is a leader in the University of Minnesota’s goal to be a top global learning environment for all its students and scholars.&nbsp; The Associate Director of Student Advising and Counseling leads the ISSS student advising and counseling staff that provide student immigration advising, several engagement programs, crisis management, funding, academic and personal counseling, an international student and scholar tax program, and the issuance of initial and subsequent student documents. The Associate Director mentors and supports the professional development and success of the advising and counseling staff. The Associate Director is the Principal Designated School Official, providing leadership and consultation for staff, campus departments, and system campuses on complex international student matters. The Associate Director is a member of the ISSS leadership team and with others on the leadership team, serves as the Director in absence of the Assistant Dean/Director of ISSS. ISSS is a comprehensive unit that includes both student and scholar services as well as recruitment of international undergraduates, sponsored students, incoming exchanges, and student engagement and intercultural initiatives. Associate Director of Student Advising and Counseling

PHI’s Senior Workforce Intervention Specialist works to improve job quality for direct care workers by contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of PHI’s practice-based employment and training models. As a part of PHI’s Workforce Innovations Team (WIT), they will specialize in leading engagements related to operationalizing and evaluating meaningful advancement opportunities that expand the direct care career ladder; additionally, they may support programs aimed at strengthening recruitment and retention practices, creating a coaching culture, developing adult-learner centered training, and assessing direct care job quality. Outstanding skills in critical thinking, proactive leadership, written and verbal communication, relationship building, and workforce and organizational development are essential for success in this role. &nbsp;
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Lead the implementation of PHI practice-based job quality interventions, including creating and maintaining work plans and timelines, managing partner relationships, executing project activities, and reporting progress to PHI’s Vice President of Workforce Innovations through verbal and written communication.</li>
<li>Build and manage relationships with numerous strategic workforce partners – including long-term care employers, payors, advocates, and others - to support collaboration and the successful integration of job quality practices.</li>

The Director of Development is an updated position reporting to the President, Chief Professional Officer.
