Step into a rewarding contract position dedicated to supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a vibrant educational environment near Redwood City, CA. This is a wonderful opportunity for skilled educators ready to make a meaningful impact from August 13th through June 11th. Collaborate onsite with a committed school team and help create a positive, accessible learning space for all students—this role is exclusively in-person, with no virtual or hybrid options.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing, or
  • Possess a California Special Education Credential authorizing instruction for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
  • Passion for supporting student growth, empowerment, and independence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ensuring full curriculum access
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Foster language development and communication through appropriate methodologies, including American Sign Language or other modalities as appropriate
  • Work closely with classroom staff and families to provide necessary accommodations and advocacy
  • Participate in professional development and school activities to enhance your own expertise and school-wide support

This full-time position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours throughout the academic year, ensuring you have the opportunity to build lasting relationships and make a significant difference in students' lives.
