Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in San Francisco, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 5+ years of employment litigation experience to join a sophisticated Labor & Employment practice. The successful candidate will represent employers in a broad range of employment disputes, including single-plaintiff litigation and complex wage and hour class actions, while also providing strategic employment counseling.
Responsibilities

Represent employers in employment litigation in state and federal courts.

Handle single-plaintiff employment cases and wage and hour class actions.

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.

Manage all phases of discovery, including e-discovery, written discovery, and depositions.

Appear in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.

Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace issues.

Collaborate with clients and litigation teams to develop case strategy and resolve disputes.
Qualifications

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Active membership in the California Bar.

5+ years of employment litigation experience.

Experience handling single-plaintiff employment matters and wage and hour class actions.

Deposition and courtroom experience is required.

Employment counseling experience is preferred.

Familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and e-discovery practices.

Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $365,000-$435,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
