For West Coast Sourdough Sacramento Airport locations we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer orders with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for processing transactions efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred, particularly in quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash effectively.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations is essential.
