Job Summary
The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) seeks a dedicated Clinical Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic medical team. This role combines hands-on veterinary technical work with critical administrative and operational support to ensure animals in our care and those we serve in the community receive high-quality, compassionate medical services. 
This role will rotate between medical, surgical, and administrative functions primarily at our community clinic in southeast Washington D.C. The successful candidate will provide direct animal care and surgical support, while also managing practice management software, inventory, and supporting the Director of Medical Programs in expanding services and implementing new programs. 
This role is ideal for someone with strong veterinary technical skills who also excels in organization, communication, and client service in a fast-paced environment. 
The Role: What You’ll Do
Clinical &amp; Technical Support

<li>Assist veterinarians during patient appointments, obtain patient histories, perform diagnostics, administer treatments, and review discharge instructions.</li>
<li>Provide surgical support including preparation, induction, intubation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and emergency intervention. </li>
<li>Collect, prepare, and analyze laboratory samples; calculate, administer, and record medications; maintain controlled drug logs and fill prescriptions.</li>
<li>Perform and assist with humane euthanasia when necessary.</li>
<li>Train new and existing staff in daily operations, technical skills, and safety protocols.</li>
<li>Maintain medical and laboratory equipment. </li>

About You: Skills &amp; Qualifications

Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide applied electrical engineering and technical expertise for customers in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, installation, startup, maintenance, and repair.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Complete Power Systems Tech duties including but not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage (to 500kV) electrical systems.</li>
<li>MCC’s, Breakers and moderately complex relay calibration and power metering. Test and calibrate electro-mechanical and solid-state relay.</li>
<li>Low, Medium and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing. Rotate emergency on-call duty and if called respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Perform power system engineering assessments of electric power systems in the areas of proficiency of protection, short-circuit calculation, arc-flash hazard analysis, design improvements of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems.</li>
<li>Assess results and prepare written report of findings, proposals, and improvement solutions.</li>
<li>Perform electrical design improvements primarily to support upgrades of facilities’ electrical distribution system in conjunction with needs determined in the assessment stage.</li>
<li>Meet customers on-site and review and identify their needs.</li>
<li>Provide Engineering cost estimates and bid proposals.</li>
<li>Utilize Engineering skills and applicable codes and standards to implement electrical systems that are safe, dependable, and cost-effective.</li>
<li>Provide technical support and quality control for assigned projects.</li>
<li>Proficient in reading and accurately interpreting power system wiring diagrams including DC elementary drawings.</li>
<li>Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures.</li>
<li>Solid theoretical understanding of electricity and a good aptitude for problem solving.</li>
<li>Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and peers.</li>
<li>Dependable and responsible with good judgment and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Good customer service, time management and follow-up skills.</li>
<li>Work effectively with customers, peers and management to resolve client issues.</li>
<li>Work will require flexible hours, weekends and holidays along with the availability to work out of town as needed.</li>
<li>All work and decisions shall be conducted in strict compliance of all regulatory laws.</li>

Required Experience and Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Associate's degree in related field or experience equivalency and a minimum of 5 years related experience.</li>
<li>Previous professional experience in power engineering studies and design experience in industrial projects is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with electric power systems, short-circuit, protective coordination, load flow, arc flash hazard analysis.</li>
<li>Knowledge of a power system analysis software</li>
<li>Proven skills in written and oral communication of technical topics.</li>
<li>Self-management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates.</li>
<li>Interpret specs to our customer requests to design technical solutions.</li>
<li>Short-Circuit, LV/MV Coordination, Arc Flash.</li>
<li>Ability to run medium studies and projects unassisted.</li>
<li>Knowledge of various industry standards such as: NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA.</li>
<li>Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures.</li>
<li>Strong communication (written and oral).</li>
<li>Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.</li>
<li>Able to work with various people throughout the organization-Customer Focused.</li>
