<h3><strong>Position Overview</strong></h3>
<p>The Sharon Academy High School is seeking a dedicated and collaborative&nbsp;<strong>Paraeducator: High School Classroom Assistant and Executive Functioning Coach</strong> to support students’ academic, organizational, and social-emotional success. This role includes direct support for students receiving&nbsp;<strong>special education services</strong>, including those with IEPs and 504 plans, as well as general academic assistance across subject areas.</p>
<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Classroom &amp; Academic Support</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Provide in-class support across humanities, literature, science, and world language courses.</li>
<li>Offer individualized (1:1) academic assistance and clarification of curriculum content.</li>
<li>Check for student understanding and help them break down and complete assignments.</li>
<li>Adapt support based on students’ evolving academic and developmental needs.</li>
<li>Support implementation of accommodations and modifications outlined in students’&nbsp;<strong>IEPs and 504 Plans</strong>.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Executive Functioning Coaching</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Lead or assist with&nbsp;<strong>morning executive functioning group sessions</strong>.</li>
<li>Coach students in organization, planning, time management, task initiation, self-advocacy, and study strategies.</li>
<li>Help students develop routines and systems to promote independence and academic success.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Special Education &amp; Student Support Collaboration</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Participate in&nbsp;<strong>IEP meetings, 504 meetings, and Student Support Team</strong> discussions as needed.<br>Document and communicate observations regarding student progress and support needs.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Academic &amp; Student Support Team to implement individualized strategies and interventions.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Communication</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Maintain regular communication with:
<ul>
<li>Classroom teachers</li>
<li>Parents/guardians<br>Academic &amp; Student Support Team members</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Participate in scheduled in-person meetings and maintain timely, professional email correspondence.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>

<li>Is flexible, proactive, and skilled at building positive rapport with high school students.</li>
