Were seeking a Tax Manager who will work closely with clients on complex tax matters, lead and mentor staff, and drive client relationships that exceed expectations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Manage and review complex multi-state business, fiduciary, and individual tax returns.</li>
<li>Provide proactive tax planning and identify opportunities for clients.</li>
<li>Lead, train, and mentor staff while overseeing daily workflow and performance.</li>
<li>Consult and research on federal, state, and local tax issues; respond to IRS and state inquiries.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance by preparing and filing federal, state, and local returns, extensions, and payments.</li>
<li>Analyze tax implications of mergers and acquisitions and recommend strategies for savings.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and high-quality service.</li>
<li>Support business development through networking and marketing activities.</li>
</ul>
 
Preferred Skills &amp; Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>57+ years of public accounting experience, focused on complex tax preparation and review (corporate, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals).</li>
<li>CPA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, CCH ProSystem FX) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Our firm uses the CCH Axcess Suite</li>
<li>Strong technical knowledge of tax planning and strategy.</li>
<li>Ability to research and resolve complex tax issues.</li>
<li>Experience supervising and mentoring staff.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Proactive, client-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.</li>
