POSITION SUMMARY:

The Early Learning Center (ELC) Lead Teacher is responsible for classroom oversight and management on a day to day basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
1. Implements the assigned Curriculum in the classroom. Prepares and implements age appropriate activities to promote age appropriate development and growth. 
2. Submits lesson plans in the established time frame through the designated submission platform. 
3. Maintains assigned children’s records, including any daily documentation (assessments, questionnaires, etc.), in compliance with New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) regulations and YMCA policy and procedures. 
4. Positively and professionally communicates information directly with parents/guardians using approved YMCA communication methods. Responsible for completing necessary daily notes for families that reflect the child’s daily experiences in the program. 
5. Ensures compliance with NYS Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) Daycare regulations (i.e. safety, nutrition, discipline, staff, health care plan, training, diapering/toileting, etc.) 
6. Maintains a safe, healthy, warm, engaging, and inviting environment at all times, for all entering the ELC and classroom. 
7. Identifies and resolves problem areas to ensure parent satisfaction. 
8. Acts as a role model for children and adults by conducting themselves in a caring, responsible, honest, and respectful manner at all times. 
9. Ensures safety and appropriate behavior in the classroom/ELC and manages transitions smoothly. 
10. Works with the ELC Leadership in the design of the classroom space and is responsible for making sure that materials are ready for use and put away at the end of the day. 
11. Responsible for the supervision and training of classroom assistant teachers and aides. 
12. Keeps the safety of children as a first priority by maintaining OCFS child to staff ratios at all times. Emphasizes personal safety and emotional well-being with the children, families, and other staff at all times. 
13. Uses positive and constructive methods of behavior management as established by the YMCA and NYS OCFS.
14. Participates in and completes the required 30 hours of training per year including 25% that must be in the area of children with special needs. 
15. Assists ELC leadership in evaluating the assigned classroom staff annually. 
16. Helps conduct student assessments and parent/teacher conferences. 
17. Keeps up to date on industry standards and professional development through self-study, research, and/or conference/workshop participation. 
18. Maintains certification in CPR, First Aid, and other certifications required for the position as established by the YMCA and NYS OCFS. 
19. Builds positive relationships within the community so that all members of the community have access to the YMCA.
20. Participates in branch programs and special events as directed. 
21. Represents the YMCA in a professional manner at all times. 
22. Attends all scheduled meetings. 
23. On occasion, cover open shifts at other Early Learning Centers within the YMCA of the Twin Tiers Association.
24. Adheres to the confidentiality policy and code of ethics at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
● Associates degree in Early Childhood, Childhood Development or related field (ie: human services, social services, education, etc.); Bachelors preferred.
● Minimum education of Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or college credits with plan of study to obtain CDA Credential.
● One year of experience working with children in a daycare setting, specifically with children under the age of 6; Two years of experience preferred.

1. Provides strategic leadership for all Pennsylvania service-area child care programs including school-age childcare, summer camp, grant-funded programs (21st Century/Pre-K Counts), the Early Learning Center, and any other assigned childcare programs.

4. Engage in continuous learning related to the regulations, safety protocols, and licensing requirements for all assigned child care programs. Ensures all state regulations are adhered to and maintained at all locations by continuously monitoring, auditing, evaluating and proving trainings as needed.
5. Coordinates a training and leadership program for all child care employees ensuring a consistent level of competencies and attention to quality and best practices including child abuse and safety training, risk management, and program specific curriculums.
6. Responsible for administering and ensuring accurate and appropriate reporting for all grants related to child care services including but not limited to 21st Century programs, Pre-K Counts, ELRC (CCIS), and CACFP food reimbursement programs. Develops and cultivates relationships with grantors, monitors and coordinates grant spending.
7. Works closely with the finance department to develop annual rates and fee structures, effective and accurate invoicing, and fee collection for fee-based programs and invoicing for ELRC reimbursements. Monitors monthly financial reports to assure that revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled, also monitors child care program collections reports to ensure timely payments and fiscal solvency.
8. Is an essential member of the Bradford branch key-leaders. Supports the branch to ensure a cooperative and inclusive culture between the branch departments and child care teams.
9. to ensure that the Y is identifying and meeting community needs effectively.
10. Establishes, develops, expands and maintains Corporate Child Care Partnership Program across the Pennsylvania service area.
11. Creates organizational policies &amp; structures that remove barriers and foster equity and inclusion for all.

Position Title: Electrician Journeyman I

Scope &amp; Responsibilities of Electrician Journeyman I: (Not limited to)
The Electrician Journeyman I position is responsible to maintain operation of all plant electrical equipment and devices. Individuals in this role design, install, program and repair electrical systems, apparatus, logic controllers, network devices, as well as electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. The journeyman electrician troubleshoots problems and determines solutions using specialized training, knowledge, and skills in accordance with safety requirements. Using electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, they work to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. The successful candidate will work and train under the supervision of the Electric Shop Supervisor, Electrical Specialist and/or the designated Electrician Journeyman.

<li>Design, blueprint, program, size and install power supply wiring, detailed control wiring and logic programming for newly installed or upgraded machines, equipment, motors, transformers, and process units all of which must accommodate Class 1 Div.1 &amp; 2 hazardous locations through unclassified areas.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot, test, and diagnose malfunctioning equipment and machinery from 12VDC through 600VAC such as control circuits, power wiring circuits, distribution panels, motor leads, transformers, UPS systems, lighting, relays, various switches, signal devices.</li>
<li>Size and install rigid metal conduit, brackets, stanchions and use various other mounting techniques for proper conduit and wiring installations.</li>
<li>Effectively utilize hand tools, power tools and test equipment such as ammeter, voltage tester, megger meter, ohmmeter, ground loop meter, power analyzer, infrared camera, DC battery analyzer, laptop computer with various software packages, programs, and testing devices.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot, test, and diagnose malfunctioning medium &amp; high voltage distribution equipment and machinery ranging from 2.4KV through 35KV such as, control circuits, power wiring circuits, bus duct, medium and high voltage switchgear, transformers, motors, and starters. </li>
<li>May replace or repair high voltage equipment such as fuses, cables, stress cones, insulators, cutouts switches and cable terminations. </li>
<li>Safely use ladders, scaffolding, platforms and operate motorized equipment such as an insulated bucket truck and man lifts.</li>
<li>Guide, instruct, train, and troubleshoot equipment alongside process personnel and various other colleagues to ensure optimal operations.</li>
