Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Estimator
Midtown Manhattan, NY
Salary: Up to $175,000 + Outstanding Union Benefits
A well-established $100 million Union Electrical Contractor is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Estimator to join its growing estimating team in Midtown Manhattan. Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for Fire Alarm and Low Voltage systems.
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform detailed material takeoffs and labor calculations.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs when required.
- Work closely with project managers, operations, and executive leadership during the bidding process.
- Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining project quality and code compliance.
- Prepare complete bid proposals and assist with project turnover after award.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Fire Alarm and/or Low Voltage estimating experience with an electrical contractor.
- Strong understanding of:

- Access Control
- CCTV
- Structured Cabling
- Communication Systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with estimating software is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of New York City construction practices and codes is a major plus.
