Job Description

Tots & Blocks in Old Bridge is looking for a Lead Preschool Teacher to work in classrooms.

Time: 8:30am to 11:30am or 8:30am to 1:00pm

As a Teacher, some of your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that all students enjoy a safe, sanitary and enjoyable learning environment.
  • Must follow the daily schedule and plans as per the teacher instructions.
  • Assist the teacher in maintaining their own bulletin board every month.
  • Maintain neat and professional attire.
  • Supervise age appropriate activities.
  • Supervise children: monitor, direct, protect, encourage, and nurture children.
  • Must attend mandatory staff meetings, required training, and continuing education.
  • Maintain a well-organized, safe, and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.
  • Must complete the required training hours within the timeframe given.
  • Must write and maintain records of accidents and incidents that occur.
  • Must meet all applicable licensing regulations.
  • Must instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
  • Must change diapers if needed while following diaper changing procedures as well as assist in potty training procedures.
  • Must complete the cleaning checklist prior to leaving at the end of their shift.

Requirements include:

  • A genuine love for working with children.
  • High School/GED
  • 2+ year of working with children experience.
  • An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
