This position offers a chance to work exclusively at a Setting 4 site, where students receive Special Education services throughout their day and exhibit a broad range of behavioral and ability levels, from elementary through high school. Role Details:
- Start: September 8, 2026 | End: June 10, 2027
- Full-time (32.5 hours/week), Monday through Friday
- Work within a team at a supportive, specialized site
- Assist students with the highest behavioral and severity needs, including toileting support as part of daily tasks
- Contract duration before optional direct hire pathway with the district
Key Qualifications:
- Must meet Minnesota’s Highly Qualified Para requirements by either:
- Passing the MN Para Educator Exam (proof of passing required)
- OR submitting official college transcripts verifying at least 60 completed credits
- Experience as a paraprofessional or in comparable school support roles is vital
- Proven ability to assist students with significant disabilities in a structured setting
- Comfort with behavioral support and personal care (including toileting assistance) is essential
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support instructional and behavioral plans set by educators and therapists
- Foster independence and self-advocacy for students
- Assist with daily living activities, including toileting, as needed
- Collaborate closely with special education staff and contribute to a positive, inclusive school community
