Position Summary
As VP of Philanthropy, you’ll build and lead a multi-disciplinary development team, architect CLEO’s long-term fundraising strategy, and partner with our board and senior leadership to accelerate revenue growth—from major gifts and corporate partnerships to digital campaigns and institutional grants. You will own a $4M+ fundraising portfolio and scale CLEO’s proven playbook nationwide. 4. Digital &amp; Donor Communications

<li>Oversee digital fundraising campaigns (peer-to-peer, social appeals, automated drip emails), in partnership with the Digital Communications team. 
	Establish and track metrics—cost-per-dollar, conversion rates, donor lifetime value—using Instrumentl or comparable platforms.</li>

5. Grants Oversight &amp; Compliance

<li>Supervise grant writer and all grant strategy, writing, submission, and reporting—especially multi-year federal and foundation proposals aligned with Vision 2030. 
	Ensure 100% compliance with funder deliverables and steward relationships to secure renewals.</li>

6. Board &amp; Cross-Team Collaboration

<li>Serve as staff liaison to the Board Development Committee: deliver quarterly fundraising dashboards and briefing memos.</li>
<li>Train and activate board members as individual fundraisers—matching them to prospects and co-creating tailored cultivation plans.</li>
<li>Partner with Communications, Programs, and Policy teams to surface compelling impact stories for proposals and pitches.</li>

7. National Expansion &amp; Community Engagement

Qualifications 
Required

<li>8+ years of progressive nonprofit development leadership, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, and digital fundraising.</li>
<li>Proven track record securing $100K+ gifts and multi-year commitments; experience managing $3 million+ annual revenue.</li>
<li>Expertise designing and running capital campaigns and planned-giving vehicles.</li>
<li>Deep commitment to climate justice, equity, and community-driven solutions.</li>

<li>Performing work, primarily outdoors, at the STT Airport, onsite, in any weather conditions</li>
<li>Ground servicing of the aircraft, included but not limited to:
<ol>
<li>Loading and unloading of different types of cargo up to 70lbs</li>
<li>Scanning of mail/shipments </li>
<li>Providing GPU/Ground Power Unit to aircrafts, to energize the plane for engine starts and preservation of aircraft batteries.</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Cleaning the surroundings of the work area to prevent foreign object damages (FOD)</li>
<li>Operation of a variety of equipment and machinery, for example:
<ol>
<li>Cargo Loader Belts, Tractors and Small Cart Tugs </li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Be a team player, work together in a group to accomplish projects</li>
<li>Perform job related duties and tasks as assigned, to be determined based upon business needs and position requirements</li>
</ul>
SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE 
<ul>
<li>At least 18 years of age</li>
<li>Authorization to legally work in the United States</li>
<li>Ability to lift 70 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis</li>
<li>Able to read, write and speak in the English language</li>
<li>A high school diploma, GED or equivalent education</li>
<li>A self-starter with the ability to work well with others.</li>
<li>Able to successfully complete a background check, including criminal history, and pre-employment drug test</li>
<li>A valid and current US Driver’s License must be maintained</li>
<li>Ability to be registered with Customs and obtain Airport badging clearance</li>
<li>Willingness to work in all weather conditions in an outdoor work environment</li>
<li>Available for a flexible work schedule including mornings, weekends and holidays</li>
<li>A team player who is self-motivation and takes initiative for quality and quantity of work</li>
