Position Summary: The Development Director is instrumental in growing and overseeing LoveYourBrain’s multifaceted fundraising activities. As part of the leadership team and critical thought partner to the Executive Director, the position develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve the goal of 15-20% financial growth annually. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing a nonprofit organizational budget of $1M+ with a diverse portfolio of revenue streams, and must have demonstrated success with:

<li>Major Donors: identification and acquisition of new major donors at the 10K+ level, and stewardship of existing major donor portfolio&nbsp;</li>
<li>Grants and corporate sponsorships: sustaining and securing new grants and corporate sponsors</li>
<li>Events and campaigns: leading strategy and growth of events and fundraising campaigns that include peer-to-peer as a primary revenue driver</li>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Major and Mid-Level Donor Engagement &amp; Stewardship
<ul>
<li>Lead and cultivate a portfolio of major and mid-level donors ($10K - $99K)</li>
<li>Develop and implement stewardship strategies to strengthen donor relationships</li>
<li>Identify and transition high-capacity donors into principal gifts ($100K+)</li>
<li>Plan and execute donor engagement events and stewardship initiatives (in-person and virtual) to build impactful interactions with donors</li>
<li>Collaborate with Development Manager to analyze and leverage donor data in prospecting and segmentation strategies&nbsp;</li>

Institutional Fundraising&nbsp;

<li>Develop and execute foundation and corporate fundraising strategy, including diversified portfolio of yearly and multi-year grants and large-scale funding partnerships from $10k-$200k</li>

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

Position Summary:
The Jacksonville Symphony Advancement Department raises fundsthrough donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, thepublic sector, and special events to support artistic andeducational programming and general operating expenses. TheDirector of Major Gifts will be responsible for increasing majorgifts from both individual donors and corporate sponsors, on alocal, regional, and national level. Opportunity
Reporting to IRAP’s Executive Vice President, External Relationsand Chief of Staff, the Vice President (VP), Development will be anintegral member of the IRAP team, and involved in theorganization’s overall strategic development. They will oversee andmanage the organization’s fundraising strategy, development, andexecution, and will build key infrastructure and contacts tostrengthen and sustain its activities. In partnership with theExecutive Vice President, External Relations and Chief of Staff,the Development team, and other key stakeholders, the VP will be astrategic leader and frontline fundraiser, forging newrelationships to increase IRAP’s visibility, achieve ambitiousimpact, and secure long-term financial resources. They will lead,in partnership, the design and implementation of a comprehensive,clearly-articulated multi-year plan to maintain organizationalhealth in the years to come. The VP, Development will have primary responsibility forestablishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow a$30M annual budget through the solicitation of grassroots tomajor/principal gifts, special events and virtual opportunities,and corporate and foundation support. They will expand anddiversify IRAP’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with otherteam members to secure funding for new initiatives. <li>Provide strategic vision and direction to build a first-ratedevelopment program, in partnership with the Executive LeadershipTeam, Development team, and Board of Directors, includingindividual, corporate, and foundation fundraising, and support andensure stellar development operations.</li>

This is afull-time, exempt position with a competitive salary of $163,379.00annually. A geographic salary differential may be applied if thecandidate resides somewhere other than the Oakland, CA, LosAngeles, CA, New York City, or Washington, DC metro areas. Thismeans that the salary would be reduced if the candidate resides inan area where the cost of labor is less than that of the SanFrancisco Bay Area.&nbsp;

ABOUT THE POSITION As we embark on thistransformative journey, Symphony Space is actively seeking to buildcapacity and hire a Director of Advancement. A newly created role,the Director of Advancement will play a crucial part inspearheading our campaign efforts, building robust relationshipswith key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful realization ofour goals. As such, we seek a creative, dynamic, and highlymotivated Director of Advancement to develop and lead all aspectsof our $45 million fundraising campaign. With a seasonedprofessional leading our advancement initiatives, we will harnessour current momentum to secure vital resources, expand our reach,and solidify Symphony Space's legacy for future generations.
In partnership with the Executive Director and Board ofDirectors, the Director of Advancement will be a key member ofSymphony Space’s senior leadership team. The primary focus of theDirector of Advancement will initially be the capital campaign,working closely with our team of external fundraising consultants,senior leadership, and Board. QUALIFICATIONS
 A successful Director of Advancementwill have:
<ul>
<li>A minimum of 10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, withdemonstrated job advancement</li>
<li>A deep understanding of and connections to the arts and culturephilanthropic community in New York City and nationally</li>
<li>Experience fundraising for a major capital campaign</li>
<li>A proven track record of setting, achieving, and exceedingfundraising goals</li>
<li>A strong background in cultivating, soliciting, and stewardingmajor gifts from individual, corporate, and foundationaldonors</li>
<li>Exceptional interpersonal skills to relate to Board members,patrons, artists, and fellow Symphony Space staff members</li>

Position Summary
The Development Director should be an experienceddevelopment professional ready to lead two major fundraisinginitiatives, an endowment campaign and our major giving program,for our organization to galvanize the resources we need to advanceour mission. For this role, we require a Bachelor’s Degree as wellas prior development experience in the major giving space.
