POSITION SUMMARY
The Principal Hardware Engineer defines product requirements, translates requirements to implementable architecture, performs detailed design work, and ensures the end product is optimized for manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities
This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

<li>Lead electrical design projects and contribute to electrical design best practices</li>
<li>Instruct, mentor, direct, and check the work of other design engineers</li>
<li>Translate product requirements into implementable architectures</li>
<li>Perform detailed electronic design of microprocessor-based platforms and related analog/digital circuits. This will include drawing of circuits themselves after basic analysis and paper design activity using a schematic CAD tool (Cadence OrCAD or Altium) along with simulation as appropriate using tools such as SPICE or HyperLynx.</li>
<li>Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, customer focused, and reliable</li>
<li>Gather technical data and prepare technical documents such as design verification test reports, written rework instructions, PCB placement and routing guidelines and Analysis of Alternatives documents</li>
<li>Maintain organized history of design artifacts utilizing a version control system</li>
<li>Complete assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines</li>
<li>Communicate with other engineers and may serve as a project manager to coordinate and assure project completion</li>
<li>Mentor other engineers as they work through day-to-day technical challenges</li>
<li>Assist or lead in preparing proposal documentation and integrate into customer specifications</li>

Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Position Summary
BB&amp;E is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to provide Electrical Engineering design support services to support Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects and associated efforts undertaken by NAVFAC Pacific, Planning Design and Construction Directorate, Design Division (PDC4) at NAVFAC Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI. 
Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer will help to plan and facilitate quality related activities for manufacturing development projects by fulfilling the duties associated with FMEA's, Product Quality Planning, Process Qualification Planning, Metrology Planning, Control Plans, Inspection Plans and Methods, Workmanship Standards, DOE's and other necessary studies within a development protocol in developing Statistical Process Control.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
