The machinist operator will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines and other machining equipment to fabricate precision parts. You will be expected to work independently and efficiently, utilizing advanced technical knowledge and skills to ensure the accurate and timely production of high-quality components. This position requires a deep understanding of machining processes, materials, and machine maintenance to meet production goals and ensure high standards of safety and quality.
 
JOB DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines and other machining equipment to fabricate precision components according to blueprints and specifications.</li>
<li>Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances.</li>
<li>Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machine operations, tooling, or part quality.</li>
<li>Maintain an organized and clean work environment to ensure safety and adherence to company standards.</li>
<li>Inspect finished parts using various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve processes, resolve production issues, and meet project deadlines.</li>
<li>Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.</li>
<li>Train and mentor junior machinists or operators as needed to support team development.</li>

Requirements:
Required Skill Sets:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining with advanced skills in CNC operation.</li>
<li>Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of various machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and drilling.</li>
<li>Ability to set up and operate CNC machines, lathes, and other machine shop equipment.</li>
<li>High level of attention to detail and accuracy in machining operations.</li>
<li>Familiarity with using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.</li>
<li>Ability to lift/handle/maneuver up to 35lbs. for extended periods of time.</li>
<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li>
<li>Knowledge of safety practices and machine maintenance.</li>
</ul>
Desired Skill Sets:
<ul>
<li>Experience with both manual and CNC machining.</li>
<li>Certification in machining or manufacturing processes (e.g., NIMS, CNC programming).</li>
<li>Familiarity with manufacturing software or machine-specific software (e.g., CAD/CAM).</li>
<li>Experience in a manufacturing or production environment with high-quality standards (automotive, aerospace, or similar industries).</li>
<li>Leadership or mentoring experience in a machining environment.</li>

Machinist Operator 2nd Shift

Job Description
Job Summary: This role is responsible for duties will involve positioning, aligning and bolting dies to ram and anvil, as well as, checking machine set-up for proper usage Those applying must be comfortable working in metal/automotive environment. Some working conditions include, noise and odours (at heights).
Knowledge and Skills (Education): • High School Diploma or past work experience deemed to be comparable • Strong communicator in the english language, both written and oral • Minimum 1-2 years experience in similar position or 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment • Must have experience in working in a press shop with preference given to candidates with technical background. • Good analytical and problem solving skills • Please note that this position is physically demanding and must be able to lift more than 25lbs.
Major Accountabilities: • Pre-stage materials, tools and equipment required for the next production run. • Use any checking gauges to ensure quality product • Setup and initiate robots • Adjust shut-heights, cushion pressure on form and draw dies and set progress on feeders. • Responsible for any tools or equipment assigned to perform duties • Communicate any equipment or safety concern to the Area Coordinator/Supervisor. • Operate Lift Truck and Crane in a safe manner. • Start, operate and shut of all presses or equipment in a accordance to Martinrea's safety policy. • Responsible for complying with requirements of the Environmental policy and for implementing the policy within the scope of their duties. This includes completion of tasks related to their assigned area of responsibility. • Job duties will involve positioning, aligning and bolting dies to ram and anvil, as well as, checking machine set-up for proper usage. • Periodic adjustments to job setup may be required.
Decision Making and Authority: • Instruct Press Operators and Press Set-up as to proper methods and safety when operating any equipment • One may also be responsible in coordinating the set-up of dies and may also call for experience with metal stamping equipment, feeders, uncoilers, control panels, lube systems, automatic presses, tandem lines, cranes and lift trucks. • Co-ordinate changeover with production operators
Working Conditions: • 100% plant floor (PPE required)
Back-up Duties: • Perform other duties as required

HOP - Die Setter

Job Title: Process Operator
Department: Production
Reports To: Process Leader
Summary:
Follow specifications to perform all tasks involved in the production of thermoplastic compounds and polyvinyl chloride compounds in accordance with environmental, health and safety, and quality standards to meet customer requirements. 
Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Comply with all environmental, health, safety and quality standards.</li>
<li>Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements. </li>
<li>Load blender with raw materials according to specifications.</li>
<li>Operate or tend machines to mix or blend.</li>
<li>Monitor raw materials from main material supply.</li>
<li>Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.</li>
<li>Handle and package product.</li>
<li>Routinely clean blending, mixing, and packaging equipment.</li>
<li>Maintain clean and orderly work areas (5S).</li>
</ul>
Other Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Initiate or suggest ideas and support continuous improvement efforts in all areas of organization including quality and environmental, health and safety.</li>
<li>Test samples of materials or products to ensure compliance with specifications, using test equipment. </li>
<li>Load and unload trucks as needed.</li>
<li>Assist with maintenance related activities.</li>
<li>Maintain proper inventory levels.</li>
<li>Complete all paperwork as required.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
<li>Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions:</li>

Qualifications:

 Compounding experience a plus.
<ul>
