Description of Role
This Sr. Manufacturing and Process Engineering role lives in the Manufacturing organization at Dephy, reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing. This Dephyer can expect to interface with Design Engineering, Marketing, External Contract Manufacturers, and our technician team in various capacities. They will ensure Manufacturing processes, materials, inputs (firmware, hardware, and software), and documentation meet both our internal quality and regulatory requirements. This candidate can expect to be hands-on, repairing units returned from the field, collecting data on failure causes (RCA,) and suggesting and implementing DFM/DFA or QA preventative measures. They will communicate failure metrics early and often alongside our Head of Manufacturing with the Marketing team to inform New Product Development.
What you’ll do:

<li>Create, execute, and refine processes that ensure all customer products meet our internal performance, quality, and reliability goals</li>
<li>Drive measurable reliability improvements through detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and other forms of failure analysis, driving effective resolution of design, product, and/or manufacturing issues.</li>
<li>Build and maintain process documentation, including FMEAs, RCAs, audit preparation materials, and quality records (internal and with our manufacturing partners).</li>
<li>Efficiently organize and oversee unit repair for field returns, collecting, analyzing, and sharing failure trends cross-functionally to drive down repair costs.</li>
<li>Support Product Development and give input into our Product &amp; Feature Pipeline.</li>
<li>Design &amp; execute performance reliability testing, including design of experiments (DOE), design and build of test fixtures, and any other supplemental testing equipment</li>

Requirements

Required Qualifications

The Quality Inspector Level 2 will be responsible for conducting inspections of incoming and outgoing finished goods, in-process components, and returned goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards. About the Role:
The Quality Control Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all machined parts and products meet stringent quality standards before they reach the customer. This position involves conducting thorough final inspections and first article inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications. The inspector will utilize precision measurement tools such as micrometers and optical comparators to assess product quality and identify any deviations. Maintaining detailed documentation and performing visual inspections are essential to support quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this role ensures that only products meeting the highest quality standards are approved for delivery, thereby safeguarding customer satisfaction and company reputation.
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>3-5 years' of proven experience in quality control inspection, specifically with machined parts.</li>
<li>Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and optical comparators.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of first article inspection and final inspection processes.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Certification in Quality Control or related field (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).</li>
<li>Experience with document control systems and quality management software.</li>
<li>Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques.</li>
<li>Previous experience working in a manufacturing or machining environment.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform final inspections on machined oilfield service and completion tools and materials, to verify compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.</li>
<li>Conduct first article inspections to validate new or modified production processes and parts.</li>
<li>Utilize precision measurement tools including micrometers and optical comparators to measure product dimensions accurately.</li>
<li>Document inspection results thoroughly and maintain organized records for quality control and audit purposes.</li>
<li>Identify and report non-conformances or defects, collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.</li>
<li>Perform visual inspections to detect surface defects, finish quality, and other visual criteria.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all company quality control procedures and safety regulations.</li>

Location Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>This position requires full-time, on-site presence at our Midland, TX (79707 &amp; 79706) facilities.</li>
<li>The standard schedule is Monday – Friday; occasionally weekend work may be needed. </li>
<li>Due to the nature of this position, there may be days when more than 8 hours is required. This position is eligible for overtime. </li>
