Key Job Elements:
- Design, detail, and integrate electrical components and systems to deliver innovative and safe equipment solutions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design complex systems
- Size and specify power distribution and protective circuit design
- Design and troubleshoot complex PLC-based equipment control systems
- Create, update, and maintain company documentation for all electrical schematics and cable drawings
- Interface with customers, sales, and management to accurately define system design parameters
- Practice DFMA techniques for R&D and production of electrical components and systems
- Assembly prototype electrical systems and conduct testing of components and sub-modules
- Perform cost-effective engineering exercises to optimize component costs
- Identify and resolve component obsolescence issues efficiently
- Limited domestic travel, less than 10% per year
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or electrical technology
- Proficient in CAD
- Knowledge of agency compliance codes such as NEC, NFPA, UL, and CE
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical design
Preferred
- 2 years of experience with AutoCAD or other 2D drafting package
- 2 years of design experience with automated equipment
- Ability to perform short circuit analysis, breaker coordination, load flow studies, and calculate grounding requirements per IEEE Red, Buff, and Brown books

KDF Technologies, LLC is a limited liability company. KDF Technologies, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within this range, individual pay is influenced by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, etc. The compensation range for this role is $85000 to 110,000 per year.
