Assembly Takedown - 3rd Shift

Job DescriptionJob Summary:
Takedown supports production by ensuring painted components are properly removed from paint line, organized, and prepared for the assemblers. This position plays a key role in maintaining workflow accuracy, organization, and communication within the production department.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:Duties/Responsibilities:
- Remove finished parts from the paint line in a safe and timely manner.
- Place parts on the appropriate designated tables or staging areas.
- Match tubs, lids, and associated sub-panels to the correct production paperwork.
- Verify part identification and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with table leaders, production personnel, and shipping staff to ensure workflow accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain organization of parts and paperwork to prevent production delays.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow all required safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing (8–10 hours per shift).
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally with assistance as required.
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as hand tools and, where applicable, overhead cranes and hand jacks.
