Key Responsibilities

Communities In Schools of North Carolina is seeking to fill a Student Support Specialist role who will coordinate integrated student supports at Westarea Elementary School, Fayetteville, NC.
Position Overview: 
Responsible for the implementation of the CIS Model at a specific school site. Partnering with school leadership and staff, the Student Support Specialist will use the CIS Model to assess and identify the needs of identified youth (case managed students), while coordinating tiered interventions and support for the whole school population. This is an 11-month position: August-June.

 Essential Responsibilities:

<li>Collaborating with school leadership and staff, coordinate successful implementation of the Communities In Schools Model - meeting CIS Student Support Standards - including assessing, identifying and prioritizing school and student needs.</li>
<li>Coordinate and/or lead a School Support team, responsible for planning and managing all CIS operations at the school site.</li>
<li>Conduct an annual School Needs Assessment using multiple sources of data, to be used as the foundation for the School Support Plan.</li>
<li>Develop comprehensive School Support Plan, noting interventions and supports using our model of Attendance, Behavior, Coursework, College/Career Readiness,+ Parent/Family Engagement ABC3+P).</li>
<li>Provide case management (at minimum 40 students) to identified students and deliver evidence-/research-based interventions and supports, based on student and school needs.</li>
<li>Deliver tiered supports to students, including: tier 1 (school-wide – at minimum 4 supports), tier 2 (groups), tier 3 (individual). </li>
<li>Protect confidential student information and data.</li>
<li>Regularly and systematically collect, enter into data system, report, and interpret student data (weekly).</li>
<li>At least quarterly, monitor &amp; adjust the progress toward meeting goals in the School Support Plan, and the progress of individual students, and adjust interventions and supports as needed.</li>
<li>Connect with parent(s) or legal guardian of identified case-managed students.</li>
<li>Provide timely reports with data and program information to direct supervisor and school administration.</li>
<li>Perform various school-related functions such as lunch duty; work closely with the school administrator to limit non-CIS assignments. </li>
<li>Lead field trips and other community-based activities and events. </li>
<li>Present the CIS mission, vision and initiatives within the community as needed via a presentation, staff meetings and parent meetings.</li>
<li>Continuously (at least annually) evaluate community partners to ensure they align with student and school needs.</li>
<li>Participate in personal and professional staff development, including CISNC and CIS National training.</li>
<li>Meet all grant deliverables.</li>
<li>Perform other duties necessary for the successful operation of programs as assigned.</li>

The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for providing coaching, mentoring, and consultation to the beneficiary to promote recovery, self-advocacy, and self-direction. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing essential expertise and consultation to the entire interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote a culture in which each individual’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation, and community self-help activities while serving as an advocate for clients. Job Description
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for QMS including overseeing inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established standards of strength, quality, and endurance. Scope includes providing direction to Associates while developing Team Leads, Technicians, and Teammates through effective coaching, communication, and training. This position requires innovative approaches to problem solving and the ability to develop timely action plans for resolution while driving the tactical execution of the quality management system.
Essential Job Functions-
<ul>
<li>Provide leadership and tactical oversight of the quality process</li>
<li>Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes</li>
<li>Designs, implements, and maintains quality control training programs / processes</li>
<li>Support NPD launches and be actively involved in quality planning</li>
<li>Develop and recommend test procedures for products, raw materials, and maintain test equipment</li>
<li>Provide leadership, mentoring, and supervision of Quality Associates</li>
<li>Develops, justifies, and implements QA process improvements</li>
<li>Ensures the implementation, proper execution, and maintenance of quality control plans and procedures</li>
<li>Work closely with manufacturing and other support functions to troubleshoot compliance issues in real-time</li>
<li>Support QA and Ops staff in coordination of, preparation for, and follow-up of internal / external audits and customer issues</li>
<li>Participate in and lead Quality focused Kaizen events and root cause analysis</li>
</ul>
Additional Responsibilities-
<ul>
<li>Responsible for the quality of the manufacturing measurement systems, the fulfillment of customer specific requirements applicable to Engineering and Operations</li>
<li>Ensure new products and processes are properly implemented to the release to manufacturing</li>
<li>Analyze current processes, develop tactics, metrics, and scorecards integrated into the site's VDM</li>
<li>Institute data-driven process improvements which will link Quality, Manufacturing, Planning &amp; Scheduling, Engineering, and Customer Service objectives and goals</li>
<li>Drive and oversee a robust system for quality tool and gage calibration compliance</li>
<li>Drive quality standards throughout organization and serve as the advocate and voice of quality throughout the business creating a common culture of quality through communication, training, and cross-functional engagement</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with NPD and Sourcing teams to complete PPAP requirements, partner in supplier quality improvement projects and resolve quality issues</li>
</ul>
Education &amp; Experience-
<ul>
<li>Minimum 3 years production quality experience within a manufacturing environment</li>
<li>2+ years experience implementing and leading quality systems and teams</li>
<li>2+ years of supplier quality experience</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, will consider combination of education and experience</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience using lean manufacturing concepts</li>
<li>Proficient with MS Office products</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience analyzing data using spreadsheet applications and leveraging data to drive fact-based decision making and process improvement</li>
<li>Lean and/or Six Sigma experience highly preferred</li>
</ul>

Physical Demands &amp; Working Conditions-
<ul>
<li>Moderate physical demands. Work is performed normally within an office setting.</li>
<li>Daily and as-needed time spent in the manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Minimal travel required.</li>
<li>This is not a remote position; remote work may be performed when approved by leadership.</li>
