How You Will Make an Impact
As a Truck Technician at Reading Truck you work under the direction of the Supervisor / Manager to complete the installation of specialty truck equipment such as dump bodies, crane bodies, bumper cranes, etc.
The Nuts and Bolts
· Install Electronics / troubleshooting
· Install PTO Pumps / troubleshooting
· Hydraulic Hose assembly / Troubleshooting
· Mount hitches, shelves, drawers
· Install ladder racks, mud flaps
· Install back-up cameras
· Train mechanics as needed
· May be required to handle, move, or perform administrative tasks involving Hazardous material
· Team Members must supply their own tools
· Other duties as needed
Required Credentials
<ul type="disc">
<li>2+ years MIG solid wire welding experience/some MIG aluminum experience is a plus. Spool gun in a professional environment.</li>
<li>1+ year aluminum TIG welding experience in shop environment.</li>
<li>1-year experience with hydraulics (electric over hydraulic and/or pto pump systems)</li>
<li>1-year experience in automotive electrical and lighting systems</li>
<li>2-3 years’ experience in fabrication (example: building landscape bodies, building trailers, fabricating dump bodies, custom ladder racks or similar).</li>
<li>Crane knowledge a plus but not necessary</li>
<li>Lift gate knowledge (assorted types)</li>
<li>Must have own tools.</li>

Position Summary: The Installation Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Installation department within a local field office. Provides leadership and tactical execution on daily production activities involving customer scheduling, service resolution, training, and management of local third-party installation network.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>

Assign installation jobs to third-party installer network based on availability and geographic proximity using proprietary scheduling application when possible 
</li>
<li>
Identify opportunities in daily operations to pull forward jobs and maximize speed to installation 
</li>
<li>
Work with the customer to schedule jobs based on installer availability and customer preferences 
</li>
<li>
Review and publish daily installation and service reports to identify wins and opportunities for improvement 
</li>
<li>
Work with office administrative staff to ensure organized workflow of jobs from schedule to install completion 
</li>
<li>
Partner with Service and Sales Operations teams to proactively address customer issues and resolve on first service call 
</li>
<li>
Train, coach and develop installation employees and contractors both in the office and in the field 
</li>
<li>
Improve subcontractor retention rates through impactful training and engagement 
</li>
<li>
Responsible for driving proficiency and efficiency amongst installation subcontractors 
</li>
<li>
Works with the Field Trainer on individual performance, abilities, and capacities of the installers 
</li>
<li>
Partner with leadership on identifying systemic training gaps and propose solutions to address gap 
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with all office and corporate functional teams  
</li>
<li>
Recruit subcontractors as needed to expand installation capacity 
</li>
<li>
Must hold a valid driver's license. 
</li>
<li>
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>

High School Diploma or equivalent.
</li>
<li>
3+ years of successful experience in home construction, remodeling, and/or installation management 
</li>
<li>
Track record of successfully recruiting, training, coaching, onboarding subcontractors 
</li>
<li>
Demonstrate superior quality and attention to detail in all facets of the installation process 
</li>
<li>
Ability to teach others through hands-on and documentation-based learning methods 
</li>
<li>
Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball”. 
</li>
<li>

Flagstaff - Installation Manager
