Accessible Space, Inc. (ASI), a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1978. At that time, housing opportunities for adults with disabilities did not exist. Many people in need of attendant and homemaker support ended up in nursing homes. ASI offered a different option in which people could live independently in their own accessible, affordable cooperative homes or apartments and draw on supportive services as needed. ASI’s unique model enabled consumers to share service hours so supportive assistance would be available 24/7/365.
Today the need for supportive housing and assisted living options continues to grow. Accessible Space’s initial five cooperative homes provided housing for 30 consumers in Minnesota. Now ASI is a nationwide organization with 136 buildings in 26 states and has developed additional buildings in 31 states
 
We are looking for a full-time Property Caretaker / Maintenance person for our apartment buildings in Duluth, MN.&nbsp;Position includes a 2 bedroom unit on site - Rent Free&nbsp;- candidate is not required to live on site.&nbsp; $19 - $20 per hour
Here's what you'll be doing:
<ul>
<li>Maintain a clean and safe environment</li>
<li>Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs</li>
<li>Do all duties related to unit turnovers</li>
<li>Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks</li>
<li>Implement required unit and building inspections</li>
<li>Perform routine errands</li>
<li>Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work</li>
</ul>

 
Property Caretaker / Maintenance qualifications:
<ul>
<li>One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs</li>
<li>Work independently</li>
<li>Effective communicate orally and in writing</li>
<li>Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals</li>
<li>Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm</li>

Property Caretaker

Bale Room Attendants are responsible for collecting, sorting, and preparing waste materials for recycling or disposal. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is crucial for safety and efficiency. Adhering to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures, is essential. The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently, and stand for extended periods is necessary. Requires using a forklift. The job can be physically demanding, requiring continuous standing, frequent walking, and lifting. The work environment may involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures. Bale Room Attendant shifts involve full-time work with the possibility of overtime. Competitive pay between $18/ Hr. to $20/ Hr. based on your experience, a generous 24% shift incentive for 12-hour Night Shift, and 8% for 2nd shift, paid holiday and vacation time, benefits and more.
