Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities

<li>The physician serves as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participates in administrative and quality initiatives for the facilities he or she is responsible for;</li>

<li>Provides information to callers according to the health centers policies and procedures; transfers calls as needed.</li>
<li>Schedules patients according to Policies and Procedures to allow the health center to serve an adequate number of patients as established by Management.</li>
<li>Adheres to all health center policies on safety and security; maintains restricted areas by safeguarding keyless entry and computer system passwords in strict confidentiality.</li>
<li>Must exercise utmost professionalism to provide excellent customer service for patients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance to health center policies and HIPAA requirements.</li>
<li>Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers patient complaints to appropriate designated personnel as needed.</li>
<li>Attends scheduled health center staff meetings and all staff day meetings.</li>
<li>Participate in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve revenue cycle goals.</li>
<li>Performs macroscopic exam of tissue post-abortion as well as the recording, reporting, referring, follow-up and transportation of specimens as needed.</li>

Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

<li>Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism; excellent customer services and interpersonal communication skills; Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work with diverse people groups.</li>
<li>Able to effectively relate via the telephone and in-person to serve the needs of health center patients/clients/visitors in a manner that is efficient and productive.</li>
<li>Must be highly flexible; able to accommodate changing needs of the department.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision. Proven flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks.</li>
<li>Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends.</li>
<li>Basic to intermediate computer knowledge and skills.</li>
<li>Ability to travel to other centers as needed.</li>
<li>Valid Driver’s License</li>
<li>Assists in training new employees.</li>
<li>Acceptance and understanding of PPNCNY’s Personnel Policies.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS:
<ol>
<li>Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.</li>
<li>Family planning/GYN experience preferred.</li>
<li>Current certification in CPR/BLS.</li>
