Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities

<li>Provider is responsible for timely documentation of all patient care/encounters </li>
<li>The provider will be available for phone/secure messaging consultations with facility nursing staff.</li>
<li>Provider documentation is completed in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasy™. </li>
<li>PointClickCare, MatrixCare, and American HealthTech are the most commonly used facility EHR systems. </li>

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Trial Planning and Initiation
<ul>
<li>Support bid strategies and contract discussions with CROs, including site selection and patient enrollment.</li>
<li>Review and finalize trial protocols and related documents.</li>
<li>Build project plans, timelines, and vendor assessments.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with sponsors, CROs, vendors, investigators, and site staff.</li>
</ul>
Trial Execution and Management
<ul>
<li>Monitor study activities for compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Identify potential delays or out-of-scope work and implement mitigations.</li>
<li>Manage study risks and escalate issues to leadership as needed.</li>
<li>Oversee study documentation, including case report forms, drug records, and regulatory filings.</li>
<li>Motivate team members and investigators to achieve trial objectives.</li>
</ul>
Stakeholder Management
<ul>
<li>Maintain regular communication with sponsors and internal teams.</li>
<li>Conduct status meetings and provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.</li>

Quality and Compliance

<li>Ensure audit readiness and compliance with ICH/GCP, FDA, IRB/IEC, and SOP requirements.</li>

 QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, medical sciences, or related field preferred.</li>
<li>5 or more years of clinical research experience, including oversight of multicenter or complex studies; oncology experience highly preferred.</li>
<li>2 or more years of clinical trials project coordinator and/or project manager experience, ideally working for a sponsor or a CRO. </li>
<li>Project management certification (CCPM or PMP) preferred.</li>
</ul>

$2000.00 sign on bonus for CCHT (Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician) or Bonent CHT (Certified Hemodialysis Technologist/Technician) Certifications.
 
Patient Care Technician (PCT) 
Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Health Systems Management support and work under the guidance of RNs to provide dialysis treatment to multiple patients at a time. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and compassion needed to improve the quality of life for our patients while promoting positive patient outcomes. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis. To be considered for this position qualified candidates are required to have a minimum of 6 months of healthcare and/or direct patient care experience. Good fit for those with - CHT, CCHT, CNA, CMA, PCA, CPT, CMA, EMT, CST, CPhT, etc.

PCT Responsibilities and Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.

<li>Set up of the hemodialysis machine. </li>
<li>Greet patients and collect details regarding their previous treatment. Report any concerns or observations to the lead nurse. </li>
<li>Assist with and prepare the patient's vascular access for treatment. </li>
<li>Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatment per written policies, procedures, and standards of care. </li>
<li>Obtain patient's vital signs before, during, and after dialysis treatment and appropriately document in patient medical record. </li>
<li>Responsible for appropriately calculating and documenting patient's fluid removal. </li>
<li>PCT performs appropriate access cannulation and reports any difficulties or unusual findings to the lead nurse. </li>
<li>Monitor the patient for any adverse reaction(s) and conduct appropriate intervention.</li>
<li>Monitor the dialysis machine for any malfunction. Report any malfunctions to the lead nurse. </li>
<li>Demonstrates knowledge of infection control as related to hand washing, personal protective equipment (PPE), and universal precautions. </li>
<li>Maintain patient safety and comfort, which may include assisting with personal care needs and activities of daily living. </li>
<li>Responds appropriately to emergency situations. </li>
<li>Note you will have exposure to blood, needles, and various other bodily fluids. </li>
<li>This position provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting, moving of patients, and assisting with ambulation. </li>
<li>PCT will spend considerable time walking, bending, stretching, and standing. </li>
<li>The employee may occasionally be required to move machines, equipment, and may lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 pounds and high as five feet. </li>
<li>You are required to acknowledge the inter-facility coverage policy that supports floating to various clinics during and after your training, if needed. </li>

PCT What You Can Expect: 
<ul>
<li>Improvement: HSM consistently strives to improve processes for our patients and teammates.</li>
<li>Training: May take plate in a facility or a different clinic other than your assigned home clinic. </li>
<li>Hours: Work hours may vary during the training period. However, you will typically work between 36-40 hours per week during training. </li>
</ul>
Education Requirements and Position Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma required.</li>
<li>Basic computer knowledge required.</li>
<li>6 Months of healthcare and/or direct patient care experience is required.</li>
<li>Continued employment is dependent on successful completion of the Health Systems Management training program in its entirety. </li>
<li>The ability to work long hours is required. You could be on your feet for extended periods of time. Our day ends when patients’ care is completed.</li>
<li>You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. </li>
<li>Must pass the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months following the first day of employment.</li>
<li>Must have or obtain Basic Life Support certification approved by the American Heart Association</li>
<li>Must be comfortable working around blood and needles, including cannulation, and obtaining labs.</li>
<li>Excellent bedside manner and communication skills. </li>
<li>Employee must successfully pass the Ishihara’s Color Blind Test.</li>
